I purchased in 1974 a brand new pair of MerCruiser 351ci motors with TRS drives from the then UK distributor SWMF. These motor were based on a Ford Block and rated at 255HP each. The distributors were mounted at the front of the motor which made it a perfect fit for the Magnum boats with the angle of the engine hatch having more clearance above the motors just behind the rear seat back than at the hinge point on the aft deck.
