I really like the trailer in the link that Sydwayz posted, looks nice and the price is right. But I would have to burn 2 days of leave to pick it up and probably $600 in gas/hotel. I got a quote on a brand new aluminum from a dealer here and it was $3700 out the door. Think I'm going to go look at the galvanized one this week.

Let me know if I can help. I can help with the purchase, and store it here at my house if you like.

But if you can get a new one for $3700, and sell your existing trailer in the midwest market, AND have help fitting the new trailer to the boat by the dealer---it's probably a wash to go ahead and buy the new one.

Thanks for the offer to help. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I do want to have the boat on another trailer by spring so I can sell the old one up here before moving. Might be able to squeeze a few hundred dollars less out of the dealer for the new one, and they will do the set up for me. Going to check out that galvanized one this week. If I can get him down a little in his price and sell mine for $1500 in the spring I wouldn't be out of pocket much for a trailer.

Just saw this thread - We should all get together some time once Sunrocket gets here. Welcome him to the area MAPA style!

Any questions on Powerboating for a Cure poker run, I am the guy to ask.
We are on FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/349373935116991/

and our website: www.mapacharity.org

We have "started" updating the website for 2013, but it is very much still a mix of 2012 info and 2013 info.
Joby - we have opening on the poker run board. Want to have a hand in planning the event?

I will. If I don't have power in the boat yet can I split the registration costs with you? My go slow boat maxes out at about 9 on the GPS . Yes, 9, as in < 10. My gofast right now is getting bulkheads r&r'd so it is highly likely that I wont have power by June.

My rebuild of the Putt-Putt is an ongoing challange.

Now back to not hijacking the mans thread.

We definitely should. Even if we just make a quick run to the cove and BBQ on the beach.

That is an insane project Khaos.....

Admittedly I don't know the historical significance of the boat but good lord, you're NUTS!!!!

On another note - Joby, on the poker run board??? That sounds risky...........
