TRL 505's Stupid Brother

In case you wanted to know that was your brother. I wish you would tell him to never come back to the lake as we all know that he has a drinking problem. I can't wait till summer so him and josh can make drunk fools of themselves. Let me know when you are coming down next I am ready to get back on the water.:cool-smiley-027:

We will be down the weekend of Feb 16th....history has shown that my Dbag Bro is scared of the boat and drives like a byiotch....therefore the pushing of throttles is left to me. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather on the 16th.

417FTN 02-07-2008 10:35 AM

No doubt

I understand what you are saying. He could phuck a tank. I am looking forward to a nice weekend and a good boat ride to Shell Knob. Can't wait to see how drunk Josh is gonna get. P.S. Is there a bridge around here?:hitfan:

BDiggity 02-12-2008 10:29 PM

Anyone know of boat storage places around the Kimb City area? I'm sure there are a couple places that have "world" in their title, just like everything else down there. :D

For how long of a boat is going to be an issue. I had trouble finding (indoor) spots for my 27 and trailer. Outdoor gallor, but with our cheesy ice storms who wants to leave a boat outside? There are several places along 160 b4 branson west. There is a storage world too. I keep my boat in Nixa. Done it for two yrs now. They have 50' deep garages........backing the boat into the garage is a different issue.....the drive ways werent designed by people with brains.

tblrklakemo 02-13-2008 10:30 AM

What are you guys going to do with low 40's weather? We have a toon thats ready to go anytime, but i can't even see beer making that temperature fun on the water.

JimmyBaja 02-13-2008 05:19 PM

This is our first winter in Kimberling City. Any fun activities with boating folks involved going on?

tblrklakemo 03-20-2008 03:50 PM

Went down to the lake today.....i've never seen it so high. Ill have plenty of pics to upload soon. I cant even get to the trail that goes to our docks....let alone get to the docks. Long creek arm is real muddy too.

Pics of the lake. You can see how muddy the water is under the long creek bridge....its only like 15 ft below the deck too. Some of the others are to our docks. Way up over the trails.

I read in the paper this weekend that the Corps hope to get the lake back down to 920 by April 8th. I sure hope so cuz our walkway is under 20' water right now!

Look who decided to post.......:grinser010: Guess we will be waiting a few extra days to get the boats in the water. I cant even get to the trail that goes to my slip. You guys probably dont have a cart parking area except in the woods?

cstobe 03-25-2008 12:18 PM

Yeah , the upper parking area was ok but the water was only 25-30 feet from there. All the dock companies will be busy for awhile replacing cables & anchor weights.
Looking to the bright side, this just gives me alittle more time to polish up the boat instead of burning up fuel & drinking alot of beer. :Whatever:

cstobe 03-30-2008 04:22 PM

The lake was back down to 925.4 yesterday, was any one able to get on their docks yet? I think our walkway will resurface around the 922 mark. My clumsy neighbor about dumped us in the cannoe we used to get to the dock yesterday. Not fun.

Chris, I was down saturday and nothing had changed. The fountain will stay in the storage garage until I can get to the dock. I guess the same for your formula?

cstobe 03-31-2008 07:52 AM

Our boat will be high & dry for atleast a few more weeks now. We are taking a 3 day weekend in the middle of April so I hope to put in then.
I wonder how long it will take for the water to clear back up? Kinda reminded me of LOTO's water color.

JimmyBaja 03-31-2008 10:14 PM

We are fortunate that we have room to move our dock in and out as the water goes up and down. We have been fine, but had to move the dock several times to keep it accessible.

jayhawker 04-09-2008 09:59 PM

I am down here today. They are running a shuttle pontoon from the marina on Indian Point to the Harbour. It is raining right now and more to come.

JimmyBaja 04-09-2008 10:29 PM

But the lake has gone down since Saturday....

Aqua Banshee 04-10-2008 08:49 AM

The corp opened up more gates on beaver today. There was a door to door warning to residents in low lying areas on Taneycomo that they are going to get flooded. The corp may have to open 5 more flood gates later today

JasonSmith 04-10-2008 08:54 AM

The Corp is flushing the turds out of the Taneycomo toilet.

LMFAO jason.

i caught a bunch of trout there 3 weeks ago. i bet many of those old docks went for a swift ride.

jayhawker 04-10-2008 10:39 AM

We got a "boat" load of rain again last night. The level as of 10:30 am, April 10th is 927.9 and rising!!!!!

Aqua Banshee 04-10-2008 10:49 AM

The head waters are at 932 If Table Rock hits 931 the corp is going to open the gates to equal what is flowing in. Beaver is also still rising.

Aqua Banshee 04-10-2008 11:18 AM

Top of flood control pool is 931. I understand top of the dam (road surface) to be 947.
Anyway you look at it, that is a load of water.

KS_Jayhawk 04-11-2008 10:49 AM

I stand corrected, last night on tv they annouced that the corp was opening up the gates more and to expect 3 to 4 feet more water on taneycomo. They had set-up a church for people to relocate to. This is not very funny anymore.
