That is where we looked at it also, if the salesman knew how to get the engine hatches open, we may have bought it

I would disagree, boxes change the center of gravity further back making it run flatter and have more wetted surface. most of the 41 sabers run boxes while not many of the Apaches do. The sabers are faster w/ boxes than a comparably powered 41 Apache.

Was this boat ever run without the boxes? Has anyone contacted Steven Yadvich (spelling)?

Wetted surface is a big deal like O'Drillin said. I might be wrong in my thinking, when I think about how a hull goes through the water, I compare the wetted surface vs the volume of water displaced. When you look at cats or the new OL's, the hull is pretty wetted down, but they aren't displacing much water.

Jut my .03 (inflation).

Ur right cooler. The boat runs with tail running nearly stright in the air. There is a ton of weight in the ass end of wl. With the power it has it should run faster than the 95mph it runs

Where did you get the 95mph# ?????
It ran over 100 with the 1000's and has quite a bit more hp now.

Doesn't look a$$ heavy to me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYmE3VB8IfY

I think what you see at LOTO is the fact that WL is not running hard a lot of the time and the bow rides high.
