I just think it's awesome that a thread that hasn't been touched in 4 years comes back to life. It's called DEDICATION,

Well I hope I can be apart of this thread as what is the fastest V hull. I am picking up a 39V next week and looking to put some nice power in it. Thinking 1075's not going to be the fastest but will be up in the 120 mark.

I bet Bill Lawson at ATECO can build you a pair of his 1300-1400 efis for not much more than those Mercs...

Y2K is gone, and Concept is gone! Very lucky sold the 2 boats in less then 6 months. Bought the all white 39V with #6 and no power, so just trying to think what power I want to do?

I have seen his ad but really never heard anyone talking about his engines. I was thinking about Merc, Nor-tech or Potter engines. all engines know to be in Nor-tech boats.Best for resale.

Yes it was quick, bought the boat in Feb to do the Miami run
and still had the 36 concept wich I only had that for a year, and sold that April and decided wanted 1 boat. And the Superboat was just to small. But it was Bad AZZ ran with all the big boys in miami Poker run.So now I have a new project with this 39V engines, what power to put in it? And think I know how we will paint it. Should be fun to see how it turns out.

several years ago Brad Zastrow bought an MTI raceboat and put Lawson's engines in it. Larry Goldman(Extreme Marine Miami) was involved in the refit.

But you have a point because Zastrow is the only guy I know of with ATECO engines in his boat. In defense of Bill Lawson, he has a lot of race car customers...

Ron Potter otoh has a lot of his motors in Nor-Techs and probly other builders' boats as well. His n/a 800 motor looks great with that KE "birdcatcher" intake and runs as good as it looks from what I hear. I think you can't go wrong with Ron...
