What do your hatches weigh? I'm considering one of these actuators for my PQ, but the hatch is farqing heavy. 100lb force doesn't seen like it would be enough...

Thanks. Brad.[/QUOTE]

This place is Great for acuators. They have many typs and capacities. I ordered new 24" travel rams for my hatch, 4X faster and quiet with 500lbs lifting capacity each. Hatch is about 400lbs total.
Fast delivery as well.

The original one is about to die. Might as well order a second one.

Pretty light ...haven`t weight them .First actuator I ordered was 35 lbs and it struggled to open the hatch
I took a scale attached it to the hatch to see what it took to open and it was 50lbs.
Unfortunately the higher the rating the slower the ram.. because of the gear reduction.
Most of their products have speed charts.

Maybe I`m used to getting things from amazon but these guys take forever to ship.. over a week to Illinois.
Customer service is superb.

Making more things black.
Powdercoated exhaust, annodized tips.
Hoping it`s easier to keep clean vs, polished.

Also it seems there was water in the swimplatform.

Shouldn't say this but I don't like the reduced speed with the larger load actuators as well. There are two solutions. ADD a second higher speed actuator, which I am doing with my installation. Secondly, run 24 volts to the higher rated one but you did not hear that from me. For the short time it is in use it should be able to handle doubling the voltage but do some research. This company does have 24 volt units, maybe call them to verify.

My hatch is 50 lbs to open, I have 100lbs actuators that are quiet and fast .
No need to call anyone or run more voltage.
It`s exactly what I wanted

My drives can hit the platform if I'm not careful trimming it up, could bend/ break welds etc.

From last summer at OLD Hickory, TN after Eddie did his tuning .

Dan, what do you have those things idling at? Is there a RPM drop tuned into your controls to drop RPM when shifting from Neutral to FWD?

I only ask because I had my boat set to idle high, and what I noticed when pulling a trans is that it was beating up the splines, showing a potential major problem down the road if I continued to do that. Trying to save you that same potential issue if you're shifting into gear at elevated RPMs. Sounds awesome!
