Default Anything to look out for with 2000 Flames?

Just looking at a used 2000 35 Flame with 502s. Anything out of the ordinary to look out for?

Thanks

A good time!

Has it been used primarily in salt water or fresh? If it has been in the salt sense 2000 I would stay away from it. An occaisional dip in the sea won't hurt anything so long as they flushed and did what was needed when pulled from the salt. How many hours are on it? Has it been stored inside? Did it stay in the water during the summer months? What are they asking for it? I have a 2001 w/ HP500EFI's I may be interested in selling. Holler back

Thanks Jima97. Yes it has been mostly salt water run. Some fresh water experience. They tell me it has been flushed with fresh after every use. I'm trying to find the hours on it.

Thanks

I've got a 1999 with 502 Mags...245 hours freshwater only. Haven't had any problems, these boats were built to last. I want to upgrade soon, just haven't made up my mind on what yet.

Only real differnce is they changed the dash in the middle of the year. The old dash has the gauges across the top. The new is in a cluster

Linster,
Only you would know that. I have a middle to later 2000 year model. And to answer the question, nothing to worry about, they are fast, handle well, and are well built. We have a 2000 also, and love it! Good luck and Merry X-mas
