Default On plane no reading of depth finder

Anyone experiencing this: On my 28 Heat when I get on plane the depth finder does not continue to make readings it only makes readings when I am going slow. I contribute this to the placement of the transducer or whatever they call it by Nordic. I think they installed it towards the mid or bow section so when the hull is out of the water on plane the depth finder makes no reading. What does everyone think?

Did you look and see where it is located? If not, take a look on the floor in the engine compartment. Once you find the location I think that will answer your question why it doesn't work when on plane.

Mine doesn't work either...stepped hull, not good for transducers.

Mount the transducer just in front of the step. I've done that on two Formula's and they worked just fine.
