No, just finishing & cleaning stupid stuff still from AC install. I have a small water leak on the back of the dyno'd engine I can not find. One day its there, the next time, nothing, the next time 1-2 inched in the bilge. It shows up on the back of the top of the notch in the transom. It only show on high RPM runs. I guess I am going to have to take off the hatch and make a run.

Last weekend I made a long run Sunday.
The 32 Pitch labbed w .020 extra cup ran 50GPS@3200RPM, 80GPS@4600RPM, 85GPS@4800RPM. Weather sucks today. Looks like tomorrow will be better.

GPS recall shows 94 so far. That was with the 30P @5700RPM. I think this prop will get 95-97.

Memorial day Sunday I did a 110 mile trip. I filled the boat before I left. Yesterday I filled the tank again & I used 70 gallons. That equals a 1.571 miles per gallon. With the 500EFI's stock I got 1.33. That is right at 1/4 extra mile per gallon. That was the ultimate benefit for sending the engine to Mark @ Precision to Dyno.

Gas is $2.15/ Gallon
110/1.33= 82.7 Gallons x 2.15=$177.80
110/1.571=70.01 x 2.15= $150.52
Savings $27.28 that day.

Lets assume I do not run that much. I assume I only run 75 miles per day average.
75/ 1.33 = $56.39
75/1.571= $47.74
$56.39- $ 47.74= $8.65/ Day

March 6 Days - Spring Break
April 4 Days
May 6 days
June 8 Days
July 12 Days
August 10 Days
September 8 Days
October 4 Days

Total Days 58 Days
58 x $8.65 = $501.70

That means it takes 3 years to pay for the investment of Dyno. I do many poker runs and weekend trips not accounted. I feel like the dyno calibration was really a 2 year return.

Not a bad return as well as good speed increase

Linster,

Your starting to scare me with all this justification stuff. The upper 90's top end was more than enough justification

Your math was off......just thought I'd help you justify the expense even better.

Russ,
I feel even better now. I can't believe I messed up on the math. Oh well, good thought but did not check everything on that post.

Indiana, Magic,
I do not show my wife any of this stuff because I would get the same answer. Matter of fact, she still thinks the motors are stock.
