I think the biggest water I was in was when we had a hurricane offshore. When we were in between swells I couldn't see the horizon or the shoreline. We went into Shark River inlet and as we were coming in the inlet I swear we were riding down the face of a wave. When we came out of the inlet I had to wait for the sets of waves to pass so I could make a run for it before the next set came in. I remember my mother later turning to me and saying, "good job."
Actually, come to think of it. One of the roughest rides was home from the Jersey City boat show in Mid October. Remember that Lucididee?

At certain times Raritan Bay can be tricky. When the wind is right the current comes up the Jersey coast and swirls around Lond Island and Staten Island sorta counter clockwise it piles up inside Sandyhook on the shallows then woohoo.
You ca see it even on a calm day when leaving you've got a rough spot for about 2 miles. I haven't been to Brigentine or Wildwood yet. I don't think New Jersey has an easy inlet. If I had to choose the Navisink usually be the most mellow.

I think they were surprised that me and my Scarab could keep up with the Bagger.

Just to add a little something...many times I've seen inlets rough but once you make it through ....the Ocean was calm and flat. Good way to scare your passengers
tell the to hold on..they think they are gonna die and then bam your in the Ocean and it's flat.
