Their website said the plan was for them to leave port wash.at 12 , If we are by south st. around 12 we won't miss them. It also stated that they'd postpone til next w/e if it rains. If it's blowing like franks report , I won't leave the dock. Hope Sak or Frank has some extra room! My Aunt was just here from Burlington Vt. and said it has been cold there and frost a bunch of times so she split to Sarasota! At least our weather report dosent call for that yet! Here's the poop on the run.
Our annual fall brunch run around Manhattan will take place on Sunday, October 8th, 2006. This is an informal cruise that anyone can do. We will gather at noon-time, just outside of Manhasset Bay, just south of buoy/gong #27.
We travel under the Throgs Neck Bridge, The Whitestone Bridge, and down the East River to the basin off the tip of New York City. Then we rest for 10 minutes as other boaters from Long Island, New Jersey and Haverstraw join us. We then proceed north on the Hudson River, under the George Washington Bridge, and turn east (right) onto the Harlem River, which will bring us back to Hell’s Gate. Then North (left), back to Long Island Sound and right at your 2nd inlet, into Manhasset Bay to LaMotta’s Restaurant for a great brunch and good chatter about the run…and our speedboats.
There is no entry fee, but please call or e-mail if you are going to attend…I do not want to leave without you.

You're welcome to come on the Pache if I can get it finished. I had to put together a crew to launch the boat in Atl. Highlands anyway!
Let's talk tomorrow at the end of the day to see where I'm at!

Next weekend the little cat will come out to play, found all the lost hp though its still a bear to get on plane. The motor only has 1 degree of negative trim where a normal boat has 8. Going to slap a 5 degree wedge in there and we should be all set. Otherwise you gotta burn a 6000rpm hole in the water for a long time or climb out onto the deck to get it to roll over onto plan.

Blasting through the rip was incredible especially with the motors spinning back up to 5800 where they belong.

Can't wait to see the pics and video, I think you got some great shots!
Thanks to Sakoutis3 for letting me use his shop on Saturday to pull the motor! I wish you guys came with us though, we didn't really go fast the whole day until we were near Sandy Hook. Lunch wasn't enough, I owe you big time. Thanks again man!
