above the rub rail will be done by sat night....
|
cool color.
|
Wow, that's going to look really sharp in the sun!
Did you decide to go with the stripes? If so, what size and color? |
Looks great Adam. Roll that thing in the sun and W O W !!
|
yeah the sun really makes it pop. yeah im going with the striped but only up the center of the bow. they are going to be almost an exact match to an onld SS chevy. but instead of white the pin stripe is going to be silver.
|
Who's doing the painting?
|
yeah that looks great, adam I was going to paint my drag car a similar color but its a bear to mantain. My buddy has a dual blown GTO thats the same basic color. gets allot of attention at shows.
As for my 80's arch its a BIMINI not an ARCH. Studio 54 is the only one around I know that had an ARCH. Kevs just not MAN ENOUGH to run it. Fear of criticsm from the penut gallery caused him to leave it off. |

ill keep that between me and him, but with that said, he is the best in the area when i comes to doing bikes. this is the first complete boat he is doing, but he would like to get into the business, and is also amazing when it comes to touch up.
|
we were cleaning up when moses stopped by and talked to him about doing some touch up work on his formula. dunno if they ever worked anything out though.
|
My dad has a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 Convertible with hugger orange paint and the white stripes down the middle. They would look awesome together.

Although I am more partial to the camaro/firebird body style to the chevelle /GTO body. Same power lighter weight! still a great car though |

I think its about a 440 CID with 450 HP now. He doesn't race it or anything. He just drives it through the beach on Sunny Sunday's checking out the chicks in bikinis. |

was he expensive or reasonable? we can just leave it at that!
The paint on my Cafe was $20K including pop up nav light and new cleats as well my swim platform and rails. That price included stripping too. All top of the line paint and 10-12 coats of clear. If you saw the boat up close it was amazing detail especially the carbon fiber logo. This stuff ain't cheap but it updates an older boat. |
Oh, and Big Time had the most ridiculous 1977 Firebird Formula. Canary yellow with yellow honeycomb rims. Had to register it in Maine where there are no rules. The thing didnt have a catalytic converter, seat belts didnt work, etc.

PONTIACS RULE! Ask Sick about my BIRD he rode in it! ask him how streetable it is and still capable of 9's |
BTW ford had gone in 60 seconds, and bullit
Pontiac had smokey and the bandit (new car stock), knight rider (New car stock), even Two lane blcktop (GTO new car stock). Mopar had the movie Hot rod and vanishing point (New car stcok!) ( except for when they crashed the car at the end they used a 69 camaro cause they didnt want to destroy a MOPAR) what did chevy have? corvette summer CHEESEY reworked car! American graffiti Hacked up changed around cebby. Even in two lane blacktop it was a worked, built, chebby against a STOCK GTO RAIV Pathetic Not one chevy in a good movie that didnt have to be reworked and built to compete.LOL I guess thats why theres so many after market parts for chebbys they needed them! OK genius disprove my theory? |
I have to join in here. As with Jeff I am a Sutphen and Firebird fan. Two 78 T/A's one gold when I was 15 and one black as a wedding present, then a black 95 formula. I did have an 83 camero too but that was just to get me back and forth to college.
