Steve, Smokey and the Bandit T/A's are nastalgically very cool! The 95 formula is Chevy powered!

( except for when they crashed the car at the end they used a 69 camaro cause they didnt want to destroy a MOPAR)

what did chevy have?

corvette summer CHEESEY reworked car!
American graffiti Hacked up changed around cebby.

Even in two lane blacktop it was a worked, built, chebby against a STOCK GTO RAIV

Pathetic

Not one chevy in a good movie that didnt have to be reworked and built to compete.LOL I guess thats why theres so many after market parts for chebbys they needed them!

OK genius disprove my theory?

Really? You have a movie theory? Wow, you ARE an odd bird. I suspect your Sutphen is right out of a James Bond movie too, right? Hehehe. Oh, let me play your "theory" game for a second. If your theorys prove ANYTHING (doubt it), There are movies made about CIGARETTE! Hmmmm, dont remember seeing a Sutphen movie :) Im out.

95 formula is CORPORATE powered. technically!

Frank I am not an against the grain kind of guy, I am just an against the Im the best and my way is the only way kinda guy. If you noticed I included my cars, PONTIAC
FORDS AND MOPARS.

ALL you guys noticed was that I didnt include your beloved, My way is the only way CHEBBY'S lol

THere is nothing wrong with a chevy but you cant say it hasnt been palyed out and easily copied because So many people have done it. If you want to be original Chevy is NOT the way to go.

I was simply stating a fact, In ALL of those movies you had a BUILT chevy, In all the others you had primarily STOCK models from other brands.

Thats not a odd coincidence?

Plus I just like to break mainstream BALLS. Its good to shake the tree and see what falls out. It keep people on there toes.:evilb:

PLus Kevcan handle it, Not so sure about you yet.LOL:kiss:

Your Really good for pics though so we'll keep you around!

Hahahaha, holy chit Jeff. That thread that everyone was" measuring the co cks" over.......was started by a SUTPHEN guy! What a slap in the face for you! And by the way, always thought the size of the boat was the tape measure? not the cool ovals? Keep posting, you just keep digging yourself deeper!

Im SURE Frank will have a response to your non- sense. Should be good...:party-smiley-004:

Its funny how you remembered Nikki's name, but not the boat owner! :lolhit:

As far as the SUTPHEN guy starting the tread I knew that efore I posted but he was a previous CIGarette owner and porbably owned the Cig when it was started, only his avatar and signiture has probably changed since.

New business venture anyone??? I wonder what it is really worth for day of running and partying for someone who has not ever been out there. Gotta be a 1,000 for 4 passengers. I think this is another reason Scot should buy a boat it will pay for itself. Jeff of course will take you out for half that.

that is a pretty neat idea...im sure many people would book trips from old saybrook to claudios and back...say $100 per person plus tip. dependent on fuel prices of course.

that could be descent income for a day on the water.

Sick Stinger 04-03-2011 08:57 PM

What will insurance run? Not trying to be as downer I think it would be a great idea. Hey great way to raise money for CPBA???

SHEET I been taking people out for free for years!

JUST ASK SCOT!

30ctsutphen 04-04-2011 10:22 AM

BTW my brother and I looked into doing this a few years back, Its doable but you have to have a captains lic. insurance. and preferably a back up boat incase something breaks down.

It wasnt a inexpensive affair to get up and running and I am not sure CT could support it since so many people here are more Sail boat cruiser oriented or they already have freinds with a performance boat.

I wasnt willing to gamble on it myself, plus turing my boating into work would only make me HATE IT!

No Jay, it runs mid to upper 70's. But its been reported to porpus alot in flat water. I think alot of flat bottom poker run style boats tend to do that in flat water. Its meant to run offshore with some chop under it.................And dont worry Jay, Jeff doesnt get to Claudios until 4PM anyways.

Yeah, mine will hop a little bit if I let it. Easy to correct though. AT's don't like the flat water:coolcowboy:

A lot of bending at the knees and "floating" the camera with the arms. It's a workout, but and once you get Betty's timing, you learn to work with her.

None at all, just stuff that was posted here.

SS930 04-11-2011 07:52 AM

I was hosing down some dirty equipment over the weekend and I started having flash-backs thinking about cleaning up the boats after a long day on the water.... thinking how much I hate dealing with it after having a great time on the water.

Anyway, I just started a thread in the GD on saltwater flushing and cleaning tips, but thought I'd bring it up here since some of you might have some tips that are useful to the locals...
http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...ml#post3373617

I know some of you guys keep your boats up the river in fresh water, so you have minimal cleanup. For the rest of you, what's involved with your clean up routine at the end of the day after being in the salt?

30ctsutphen 04-11-2011 10:28 AM

Scot beyond flushing the engine and bringing it over to the car wash I dont do much, I have to spend countless hours polishing the windshield and that takes up all my time really.

That and it takes me a while to get rid of my sea legs from all that porpoising!

I hear Kev has to clean his SPEICAL, CIG/ Excalibur sun glasses in a special way or the efect of the disco ball gleaming off his head, really can damage his eye sight but since hes over 40 its going anyway now, Then he has to call stanley steamer to clean the special 70's vintage SHAG carpeting, he alos LIKES to rub his fuzzy dice clean in his own special way!

When hes done he kisses old studio 54 good night and dreams of the next day he can revisit the 70s once again!

Man, I cant wait til scot buys a boat!

SS930 04-12-2011 02:24 PM

Hahaha, Pat showing some Pecker love! :D
