One word displacement. I will give a real world example. Years ago I was went to Long Island in a friend of mines boat. We ran into Dominic who I bought my Cafe from. Dominic had bought a 37 side by side Outerlimts with 500hp's in it. Dominic had 3 buddies with him. We sat down and had a beer with these guys, them not knowing that i bought the Cafe from Dominic. When we asked how them how they liked Dom's boat they said they loved it, and said it was definately faster then his old boat "but said it did not ride as smooth or feels as safe" as his old boat. One of the guys said even Dominic missed the ride of the Cigarette. So completely unexpected and no brand loyalty just 3 guys stating their findings. So that's how I guess I would explain it. Not to mention there are others who have even more experience then you in all the different hulls that have told similar findings, I know they are fast but again from what people who I have talked to have said is they tend have a more rigid and loose ride. I am sure you will disagree and maybe you are right. But maybe just maybe you are wrong and they are right. Now I know that you and Adam and Pat don't like Cigarettes and feel they are an inferior product but why do think they have been so successful all these years, especially when other brands like Fountain and Baja and Power Quest and Activator oh yeah and Power Play can't seem to do the same?

I just bust your guys balls about the cigs. I dont think they're a bad boat. But with that said, I think that at a given dollar amount, you will always find a boat thay will do basically everything better than the cig but at a lower cost. So in reality you aren't paying for the quality or performance of the product, but more so just a name. But to each their own, that's why the marina's are filled with cabin cruisers like jeffs.

Put it this way, for tasting such as wine, beer, etc.. they have blind taste testing. Now let's say they did this with new boats. Every boat mfg, and you get to test the boats, go over them, and they tell you the price, but you have no idea who built it. I have a hard time believing thay many cigs would be picked over the competition if the buyers were blind and not brand loyal.

Ok just answere this did a 37 or an ok spin or wreck years back in mt hope bay killing a few on a test run and also how do the quad steps run from what I was told scary and I'll handling but let me guess that just wrong and they are perfrct at speed but only a select few can have them that's why only a few were built has nothing to do with how they run

I admit I am brand loyal but to be fair I had ridden in Baja's Fountain and Formula's and then had a ride in a Cig in 5 footers. It was that day that changed it all for me, I wanted to go fast in rough water. I still hate it when I go out and it is 1ft. or less. Dan I have never been in an Outerlimits to be honest, I am still waiting Scot was going to take me but did not want to put gas in his boat. Adam you might be right I said it before the AT really interest me, especially if I bought brand new they might go to the top of the list they are less expensive and have all the extras. I still think when you spend all that money it's nice to be able to use the cabin. Plus for me it's good when I have my wife and daughters on the boat. The AT owners swear by them and seem to fly real level. I was calling around on some 37 before I bought the Tiger, I was most likely going to buy a TG with 525's my wife wanted the Tiger and I always get her what she wants....like some heated up Zuls. Now if we can all agree that we need to get bozo the clown out of an outboard boat and into something with some horse power then this will be a better place and we will have accomplished something here.

Forget the bickering we have some serious problems here. Where have our leaders justine and Jeff been???? Also what are we going to con jboutlaw into buying??? Next is, how the hell do I get these 525's out of the boat???? There's way more than a couple wires to the distributor and a fuel line
