That's because you hardly make it out in the Sound much anymore. :party-smiley-004:

302Sport 07-19-2011 08:18 AM

i dont think its happening this year to be honest. at this point i still have a good month worth of work to do on it, and i would rather take my time and do everything the way i want it done over the winter.

kreed 07-19-2011 08:24 AM

Any updated pics Adam? :party-smiley-004:

302Sport 07-19-2011 08:26 AM

That's probably a good plan. Get everything sorted out with 'life in general' and take your time doing the boat right. The water will still be there next year and I'm sure you'd hate to cut corners and regret doing something half azz after going this far with it...

Good advice, do it right the first time!

Sick Stinger 07-19-2011 10:15 AM

Tried doing it right the 1st time and now a motor is out. Great boating summer im having with it, I wish could use it even more then I do now.

Rip the unused drive off and make it a single screw pig. You know my number if you guys want to get out. ;)

Because I was behind him I wasn't really being bothered by his wake, but no exaggeration he had to be throwing a good 6'+ wake. Every single boat coming the opposite direction stuffed going into his wake, some of which were 30'-35'+ boats. Luckily there were no small boats around at the time and everyone else was going slow so no real damage was done, but I couldn't get over the ignorance of this guy... Yet we are the ones that get the evil eye from the marine patrol and fellow boaters! I don't think three of our boats together could throw a wall of water like this guy was throwing! Sadly, we all see this over and over...

That's exactly what I posted last week, same exact thing except he passed (overtook) me and the wake ran me over. Whether disregard for everything or just ignorance I was beyond disgusted. It helped set me at ease a little that I watched a different guy get pulled over for it tho

I didn't want to clutter up yet another thread with our typical BS, so I thought I'd bring this over here...

Hop on with him? JUST INVITE YOURSELF thats how I met SCOT. LOL

Moths? You probably wouldn't know it as you don't make it out on the Sound much these days, but my azz has been out every weekend since the boat got squared away. I think I've only seen you out there once, and that was when you were heading back in due to fog and later out spending your time at Claudio's by going for joy rides in some dudes 4 cyl. car! :lolhit:

And if I didn't invite myself, think of all the nice ball breaking and pictures you would have missed out on! Once again, you're welcome falker! :drink:

I actually ended up buying a boat last week, but I was keeping it a secret from you guys :grinser010:..... Basically a family friend of a friend (got that?) was looking to dump his Four Winns bowrider that he never uses (he is 80+ yrs old), so it basically fell in my lap and it is something to get me out on the water to our local hangout. Even if I bought a new boat next year I would still probably keep this one just to beat the hell out of and not care. He even threw his slip at no extra charge! So yes, I own a bow rider...let the ripping begin!! :drink:

I'll start inviting myself (will most likely have a chick with me) on boats later on this week when ppl have a better idea of what they are doing and I see what kind on turnout we can expect at the run. It's a little bit of a hike for me so want to make sure there is something worth going up for (otherwise I'll drink on my beater!!!)

Bwahahahahahahahaahhahaahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! Say it's not so!?!?!?!?!?!?! :lolhit::bong::lolhit::bong::cool-smiley-027:

BTW, I'm surprised your brother didn't run you over with the busss on this one... and then back over you too!

Scot the MOTHS comment was in reference to your Wallet. A better reference would have been that you needed to blow off the dust!, Look for the combo you lost 15 years ago, Pry it open cause the hinges had rusted shut!

You know like at claudios that day. I think I saw a tear when you opened it! BWAHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Hey Scot, Patrice called billy and cryed his eyes out so he got you over 31 clowns a discount for the run too.

Of course I layed all the ground work!LOL

Not the official name yet.... but it is first in the running in my mind.

BTW, I wanted to race you the other day on the way back in, but I guess you were scared....didn't want a Four Winns to take you out? Also on the ride back to the marina, Rob bet me $50 that I wouldn't hit a clam bed marker in that thing at full throttle....I took that bet and won!! :grinser010:

:lolhit::lolhit::lolhit:

of course I am I dont own an OL! That rig is made for boat shows, not being useful, you cant even hang any fenders or tie a rope to it with no cleats or bow rail.:evilb::eek:

At least BT s boat has a use!

30ctsutphen 07-20-2011 11:29 AM

Plus he wont be knocking over conveinience stores to pay for the fuel of those 4 DOMINATORS !

30ctsutphen 07-20-2011 11:32 AM

BTW heres the email from Billy about the PR after I emailed him asking for a discount for the CPBA. We felt it was a good colaboration between the clubs and might bring in some of our guys. He had his reasons for going 31 and under.

FYI,

I am trying to reduce the poker run cost for the 31’ and under crowd…and give away cash money…

We need boats to enter to keep the ‘spirit’ alive.

BF

He wasnt trying to screw the bigger boats just to try and get the smaller crowd that doesnt already show up involved.

Paid $4700 for the boat and trailer, plus he gave me about $500 worth of gear (tubes, water ski's, spotlight, jackets, couple anchors, etc.) and he also gave me the slip for the season at no extra charge. How the hell am I supposed to say no to that? Boat is docked right out where we always party...

The name is not set in stone, but I like:

1) Ugly Duckling
2) Only Temporary

It's nice because I hate bumming rides off ppl so this gets me out there!

SS930 07-21-2011 08:53 AM

Alright, I guess we can't razz you about that. Looks like it's in decent shape! You must look like Dino with your head sticking out about 3 feet over the top of the windshield! Actually, it might be a nice option for Mike's next boat... :party-smiley-004:

So are you bringing it up for the OS PR??? :evilb:

Hahaha, there are guys there that will spend more in gas then I did on the boat!!

The guy I bought it from was in his 80's, obviously money wasn't an issue, he just wanted the boat to go to someone that was going to have some fun with it.

Scot, are you doing the poker run?

Is anyone not doing the run, but thinking of watching the start? Still trying to decide if I am going to head there jus to check it out, or stay back in town and destroy my boat for another weekend.
