We ran into that nimrod at the ramp yesterday. He and Mike T. were spalshing Mike's new (to him) 33 Sutphen. What a nice guy (Mike, not nimrod :D) and a super clean boat! We ended up joining Mike and nimrod for the maiden voyage. A quick run back up to the bridge and back. Nice riding boat and a relaxing end to a good day...

thanks scot. we were just coming back from a week running in RI (naragansette bay). we wanted to do a short run in fresh water before letting her sit for the week. it was crazy busy in the river sunday. aside from a faulty hydraulic steering pump (port side) and a leaking transom assembly we are aces. hahaha. we will be out next weekend. not sure where yet.

Alittle humor for monday...

Had a big day out there yesterday, it started off a little rough my port motor would turn over but not fire. I could not figure it out, but Mike from Offshore Northeast figured out in 5 min. I had a bad crimp on a connector to the MSD box so we where under way right after that. We got to Claudios and it was packed 3 deep they made some room for us in the back corner so I had to back it down the the whole basin( love it because they thought I could not get it in, they where wrong):drink: The girls had a great time. It was my best day on the water so far this year! Boat ran like a champ and we aired it out on the way home. I am sure the boat is filthy and I am afraid to go look at it:eek:

I know we were talking about wakes the other day. I followed a large cruiser out of the river yesterday. The A-hole either didn't give a sh!t, or thought no wake zone meant pull it back to 1/2 throttle. Because I was behind him I wasn't really being bothered by his wake, but no exaggeration he had to be throwing a good 6'+ wake. Every single boat coming the opposite direction stuffed going into his wake, some of which were 30'-35'+ boats. Luckily there were no small boats around at the time and everyone else was going slow so no real damage was done, but I couldn't get over the ignorance of this guy... Yet we are the ones that get the evil eye from the marine patrol and fellow boaters! I don't think three of our boats together could throw a wall of water like this guy was throwing! Sadly, we all see this over and over...
