Yes I'm going. I have a full boat, but there might be others going with space so it might be worth a shot seeing if anyone has room.

If you're watching from land, the PR is leaving from the marina, which leads into a no wake zone, so there won't be much to see from there... unless you just want to see all the boats idling out. The actual start will be at the Pavilion (several miles away) but I'm not sure how great of a view that will be either. The boats will be at least a 100+ yards off the shore and already have their sterns to you when then take off. The best vantage to watch the start would be from a boat...

You should be able to see ok from pavillion Id think , everyone will be stopped and hanging out there for at least 1/2 hr

I wish I was going to BOTH but there the same day and I thought about doing CT and then doing fall river so I could be at both but now that this is a run for mike Highlife I really would like to be there.

Wasn't really planning on doing the run since I will be up there with Susan, but was hoping there might be someone not doing the run that I could hop in with to check out the start and then maybe shot over to Claudio's (drinks on me!). I would be psyched just to walk the docks and check out all the boats, and it would be a done deal if I was closer, but it's kind of a far drive for me just to walk the docks for 1/2 hr.... but on the other hand would also be nice to catch up with some of you dopes too! :drink:

BTW, I was at Crabshell (in Stamford) last night and there was a MTI w/700's on the dock there. Pretty sure it was Tom Abrahams (sp?)...used to have the 46 Cig w/1075's called "Get smart". I looked for Tom, but didn't see him...maybe it was someone else..? Haven't heard of anyone else w/a MTI in the area, so wasn't sure. What a sick looking boat...hope whoever that was is doing the run, that thing was beautiful!!!

Small world. I was just down at the Black Duck and my Dad had the Staples HS class of 1966's 45th reunion going on. Apparently one of the guys there was telling my Dad how his daughter's boyfriend's father was killed in a boating accident last weekend. It was Mike's son's GF's Dad.

Couldn't make it out tonight, blew the doors off last night, but was still volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club in Stamford at 8 in the morning today, outside in 100 degree heat, hungover running around with kids! Then had to go into the office after all that....as soon as u walked in the door and sat down I was done. Took a 4 hr nap and here I am, up at 2 am!

Just spoke to Susan too, she is onboard, literally and figuratively. She had a fun girls night out, but will be ready to bit the water tomorrow.
