Hahahahaha, I love this. Jeff is a professional "button pusher"....... Im SURE that whatever Scot spent on the boat, he could get it back tomorrow if he wanted to resell it. Thats whats important here, not how much you spent, but can you still recoop your money when its time to sell.

I've said it before, but the draw to Greenport for me is the ride, BBQ Bills, the boats, and hanging out with people I know. I get sick of Claudios (the bar itself) really quick for some reason, so i'll save up my time there for when I know it will be worthwhile.

Also has anyone been to Bills by boat with a bigger boat? Last time I tied up to thier dock it was with my 24', but I remember it being too tight for a 30+' boat. My dad has gone and docked @ the marina right across the street, so that's what I was planning on doing unless someone tells me otherwise. I assume they have transient slips there..? Can anyone confirm or know if/what they charge? thanks.

The dock is big enough for a bigger boat (assuming space is avalable), but you have to be careful of the tide as the clearance under the bridge (right in front of Bills) can get really tight as the tide gets higher. The other issue is the river is fairly narrow at Bill's, which can make turning around a little tough if your boat doesn't spin on a dime. In this case you're better off going past Bills to the slips and then turning around.
BTW, I've never seen them charge for docking there...
