Vodka will lower octane as most is only 40% ethanol, but straight grain alcohol will raise it! Keep in mind the stoichiometric ratio of ethyl ethanol is completely different than that of pump gas, so you might need to fatten your mixture if you plan on ruining significant portions of grain...
