Yep I've done some riding. Ironically, i've been too busy to post because I'm setting up my showroom with all the 2012 Skidoo gear! www.huntersskidoo.com

It's acutally surprising how similar the powerboating and snowmobiling business/customers are. We have a bunch of High-perfomance CT boaters as snowmobile customers. I'll keep their names anonymous, but a few have big fast cats and more than a few have big fast Cigarettes.

Anyways if any of you Skidoo guys need anything, I stock just about everything, plus we are one of the biggest Klim dealers on the east coast. We have 4 full time BRP certified techs in the shop, and do everything from minor tuneups to performance tuning on our track dyno. Anybody looking to get into it, I'll hook you up! You won't regret it.

Enough with the business talk. I ride just about everywhere, I've done everything from southern vermont singletrack, to northern Quebec, Colorado and Wyoming. Last year we rode from our place in Groton, VT, around Lac St. Jean Qc. and back in a weekend. That one was a little over 1400 miles. Snowmobiling is my 1st obsession, boating fills in for the summer. (opposite of most of you I assume.) I have pics all over the place, but here are some that I have easy access to.

Here are some riding pics from last year.

The last pic of the guy in the red on the black sled is News Channel 8's own meteorologist Gil Simmons. Craziest b@stard I have ever ridden with!

Open House is Saturday October 1. All Skidoo and Klim gear is on sale, along with belts, oil, helmets, etc. It is also a swap meet so guys bring their own stuff to sell. We usually have a good amount of used sleds available at that point, so it's a good time to shop for sleds. We have food, drinks (not the fun kind unfortunately) raffles, ATV test track, etc. It's worth the trip.

We will also be at the New England Powersports Expo in Springfield, Ma on October 15/16 for any of you guys up north.

innerrage 08-17-2011 09:40 AM

10m let me no when you are at the shop im 5 mins out i will stop bye

10M - Is this you or your cousin? I was at the Nipmuck watercross a few years ago and took these pictures of a Hunters Sponsored Ski Doo.

For those of you that don't know, these things WILL run on water. Look at these ridiculous pics. The guy went around the island and off this jump about 15 times before he finally sunk.

If this is you, you are one crazy SOB!:evilb:

Ha been there, done that. That particular pic is my brother. I gave up water racing for boating....it's nice to be able to stop without sinking. And a lot more bikinis in boating too :coolcowboy:

They're all running XPs and Revs now, full mods with 200HP. Way faster than the seadoo/jetski/watercraft.

noyzee 08-17-2011 11:33 AM

10m, send me a list of what you have for 800 xp's and pricing. im thinking a gade but i could go short track as well. i will poke threw it and see if i want to bite the bullet. maybe i will put my 1000 up for sale now and see whats what. anyone interested in a MINT!!! mach z 1000, under 1000 miles on it not rebuilt 1000 miles. stock from ski doo. its all stock motor from doo, with crank shop domes (low comp ones) crank shop twin pipes, boondocker, boondocker spray set up, many extras, sled is mint and i could sell as it (snow /ice race, some supention and a 1" track, or i could put back to stock or i could put wiper track back on and slam it back down for full ice sled.
sled in snow form runs 110-115 in 660 in ice for it went 109 in 500 on motor.
let me know.

I think I am going to list mine this winter...go for an upgrade. What do you think this is worth? Am I better selling it on my own and using that $$ towards a new one, or will a dealer take it in on trade and not bend me over on it...?

Low to mid 3's. Dealer will work you over, but you would save the tax difference(about $200).

I got a Mach Z 1000 that I messed up a piston on last year. It was the PTO side. I sent out the cylinders to get replated at Millenium. There was a good amount of belt dust in the reed cage. Should I go down into the lower end? The sled has around 3800 miles. I hear that the crank seals can mess up and also that the grease can get washed out around the bearings.

Is it still apart? If so definately check out the crank. It might be ok. If it's back together run it, but think about a crank replacement after 5000. We do a lot of Mach Z cranks...

Audiofn 08-18-2011 08:46 PM

It is apart still. So I have to pull the block to check and do a total take down of the motor?

502ss 08-18-2011 09:47 PM

Any of you guys come up to the Epping NH grass drags? You want to talk a good time! The swap meet is also a good take and there is plenty of merchandise! I bought a new riding jacket and helmet for cheap money! I will be there again this year

BTW...I ride an 05 rev 800 with custom graphics. See below...

i run the pre filters with cone filters because of the belt dust. its killer. i would pull it apart.
as for the crank, the main reason is poor oiling so i always add a little 2 stroke into my fuel to try to help keep here moving free. not a lot but one small bottle every other fill up or so.

my mach is for sale. 900 miles on sled and motor!!! like new!!!

Yeah, I would pull 'er out and split the cases. Might as well at this point. Peace of mind at least.
