From the looks of it, they are right in the ball park with the rest of the class. I think they may have a little more. They both had a grin :D on their faces after they made a run to the ramp and they were tight lipped about what they saw on top end on the way back...

Thanks Shark, I like the videos the best. And thanks Bruce for the use of your props. The guys are stoked now and there has been progress on the boat since it was last run as WHM Mini ME. Test,test,test. Where Doug and crew live there is still snow coming down and the lakes are frozen.

Tim thanks for the kind words. There are a lot of good people in SVL and they all have made it happen this year. I would expect this class to explode with new teams in the next couple of years.
Im going to need some better cushioned seats in my boat to hang with all this new hungry blood. I might have to trim it up and hange and bang with this new blood.

I would like to see all the SVL boats in the water on Sat at the same time. Lets try a few sample starts to make sure we are all on the same page. 2x2 starts is a new idea in offshore racing and we are all proud to be part of a new idea to thrill the fans. I think its a good idea to practice a few starts on Sat. to see what faults there may be. As a class we will all be innovators on this new start and I am sure we are up to the challenge to make it happen.
Let all meet at Kostalacks trailer on Fri after the drivers meeting to have some talks on details. John has been working on this for 2 years and lets follow his lead.

No words can describe how much this has meant to all of us. There are many forms of racing where the competition will step up and help, but we feel that Randy has gone completely above and beyond the realm of help.

Good luck in Biloxi. Glad I could help a little. I wish I could have gone testing with you. But business comes first.

Make sure your VHF radios are working properly. You will get a full test of the 2x2 start on Saturday and since you might not be able to see the green flag, we'll give it to you over the radio.

Ron can you lock down a time slot for our 2x2 practice session? Im thinking a one hour window if thats not to much time for the other classes to sacrifice. I would think we could get in 3-4 starts if we are organized.
John and Larry would it be ok if we all meet at your trailer Fri and have a meeting with the SVL teams and I think it would be great if we could have the pace boats crews there as well. lets try and shoot for a time before the drivers meeting maybe 3:00. John has put a lot a thought and time putting this new idea together and I vote we let him take the lead on presenting this meeting. John has most of what he thinks are good rules to start with and after are practice session we can dial them in even further if need be. ALL thoughts are welcome and there are no bad ideas. We will have limited time to have this meeting so lets listen to Johns plans and then open the floor for questions. :readinghelp::nhl_fight:

Just got off the phone with Matt Reed who will be driving in the SVL Hard rock Cafe AKA Popeys. The Hard Rock is haveing a racers party for all racers at 8:00 Friday night. As a sponsor for this race it is important that we all plan on being there in uniform and on time. These partys are to meet the fans and show are support for the sponsors. Not to mention its a blast.:cool-smiley-026:
I suggest we as a class in SVL pull are lane cards at the party. This will insure everyone is there and will create some excitement at the party. Be there or be last will be the saying of the day.:angry-smiley-038:

So here's the deal. On Friday at 3:30 all SVL teams will attend a meeting at the Wild Ride Camp to discuss the 2x2 starting procedure. The meeting will be with the referees to get prepared for a couple of practice starts on Saturday. You should shoot for noon to come out as a class to practice.

We'll discuss further at the 5pm drivers meeting.

Just finished packing the rig!!!!! I am busting with anticipation for this race. So much has happened this winter with new teams and old dogs returning. I think we are going to be part of history with our class. I think we will be able to get even more teams in SVL thanks to all of you. Competition breeds more competition and we are all hungry.
