Julie

That photo is from last season. It's an Extreme and it's been runninging in Trinidad. I'm sure the other SVL teams will give him a nice friendly welcome to the USofA.:p

Larry D 03-13-2008 11:49 PM

donzi is right that is a great pic of typhoon airborn , but notice where wild ride is in that pic doesn't get any better than that

Isn't amazing how much work we put into our boats. Mine looked just like Randy's pictures too. I'm getting too old for all the work, but still love it.

Nice shots MD...We hope to add a few to our collection this year. Ya know, like us passing you with 1/4 mile to go for the Win..LOL looking forward to hanging out with you all both on and off the race course. Here are some updates:

Painted and deck hardware re-installed.

Boat re-wired and rigging straightened out in engine bay.

New seat belts installed (ask Doug how much fun that was!!)

Engine in, but waiting for the rear engine bolts to arrive from Merc.

Waiting for the drive to get here, new gimble bearing installed.

A few shots...

Dave and Doug

Oh...We can't decide on polished or black wheels on the trailer...Any thoughts? :drink:

Dave

Ryan Beckley 03-15-2008 10:00 PM

Polished wheels.......

If you guys need some graphics let me know and I can ship you stuff. I did the graphics on that thing when it was brand new. You guys have it lookin good again!

axapowell 03-15-2008 10:03 PM

Thank Ryan! We have the new polished wheel to put on the trailer....was joking. We are waiting for the new tire that matches to get here.

Dave

Now that what Im talking about! Gettin it done! It looks great guys and I know you have been bustin a$$ to get it done. Now comes the hard part of dialing it in.:party-smiley-004: How about a pic of the interior and some of the rigging in the motor compartment. That boat looks new! Well it is now.

TYPHOON 03-16-2008 09:56 AM

Just another idea for you. Build yourself a air box from the air scoop to the air cleaner to let the motor get as much air as possible. There are rules on the amount of clearance needed around the air cleaner. I believe its 2". You can make it out of aluminum or fiber glass. Does anyone have a pick of your boat that you could share with these guys?
MD

heater63 03-16-2008 09:01 PM

hey Randy,Great idea but does water entering the scoop ever become an issue? Talk about busting a$$,I kept dave at my shop until 4:30am saturday night and then he had a 2 hour drive home.We are determined to get this boat to the finish line at Biloxi and hopefully not at the back of the pack.Just looking for a respectable finish our 1st time out. Then you boys better watch out!

TYPHOON 03-16-2008 09:28 PM

You can build in a water dam for that reason. I didnt on my boat and am very careful on the parade lap not to get to close to others. The EFI motors are pretty forgiving and will put you into guarding mode to clean out the motor. A simple on /off/on will reset the computer. If you are in the back eating water it is a risk that can bite you. On the other hand if it helps get you just a little more hp you might not be in that prediction.

TYPHOON 03-16-2008 09:30 PM

I also have another idea for your boat but dont want to post it. Call me
MD

TYPHOON 03-16-2008 09:58 PM

Also why did you let him leave so early? The sun was not up yet.

TYPHOON 03-18-2008 07:03 PM

Just talked to Brad from Calif. and his boat should be done by this weekend.:evilb: He is planning on being in Biloxi.
Has anyone talked to Scott from Octain? What is his #? can someone PM me.
MD

Ron P 03-18-2008 09:32 PM

And where is Mr Seroff?

SVL4 03-18-2008 11:27 PM

Mr. Seroff is looking for someone to give him a hand in taking the boat to Beloxi and crewing for him. He is so busy that he cant drive with us anymore. We really need to thank Schleussberg as I call him for all the work he puts on behind the scenes in an effort to grow our class. For those of you who are going to meet and race against him this year, You are in for a treat. Randy is a very special person who is deeply passionate about offshore racing. The only thing never to ask him is what prop he is running that day. It will be the ONLY time he will not tell you the truth. We,as a class, are very excited about all the new teams we will be meeting at Beloxi. Thank you to every person who is trying to grow our class.
