The permit for over length is only around $20 to $30 dollars so it's not that bad if you just want to be sure. At least that 's what the last one I bought was. Most F350 type trucks towing boats are not stoped

OK . . . just called them. looks like any truck/trailer combo under 65 feet will not need a permit and he said it was based on overall length. I asked him about the 28 foot limit on just the trailer and he said he wasnt aware of that and it was only based on the 65 foot limit. anything in the 65 to 85 foot range (this means you Jimmy ) needs a permit that is only like 5 or ten bucks. heres the funny part you need one for coming AND leaving.

I'm still not gonna tell them that we're 95'3" or they won't let us in

width permits needed also, just finished mine,$20 for the year, easy process takes about half an hour, even today (sat.)

If you pull permits "USUALLY" you CAN NOT tow at night........the weigh station at Islamorada MM 87 in the Keys WILL bust you for OVERLENGTH!!!!!!

FL you can not run 1/2 hour before sunset and 1/2 hour after mon-fri and only till noon on sat and sun. no holiday movement. With a permited load
