P1 and P1 Superstock are two differnt classes.
What I'm talking about would be P1 Superstock-check out youtube for videos of this class.

Actually here are quite a few people that have boats already that would fit in the class so their expense would be minimal to get involved. You need a class for people to be able to just show up and race in. That was the idea with Class 6 initially until the class got out of control. Not out of control in a bad way but more in the aspect of $$$s.

I like the idea of Small block 21-23 class. You could even fit in the race at non-peak times like first race when not everyone is there. I would be a great idea for people like me who want to go out there and race but don't have the budget to blow $50k to find out that this aint for them. Lets face it. For someone who has never raced, even class 6 is intimidating. I could be ready by 2013.

To be honest, you could bring your boat out now. You wouldn't be competitive, but you can see what is involved and whether it is for you.

I dont know the answer to this, but in the past the association(s) insurance only covered 24' boats and bigger... Something you might want to verify with the chief before opening up a can of worms

200 hp Outboard or Smallblock with an Alpha to keep HP down and both Ob and IO competitive. a 21 Superboat with 350hp SBC runs 65-70. Same as one with a 200hp OB.
