Ok. Sorry about all the questions. I'll take one step at a time, and get the motor figured out first.I don't want to get into too much at once. Thanks again! I'll let ya know how it's going!

boatownr2,
I have been out on a hand full of 28 single's and bruce is on the money with his hp to speed numbers. These hulls need real power to get it done . Hey Bruce what prop should I start with on a full pleasure 28 single 650 hp . Motor will go on dyno in a few weeks and we will know for sure on hp. What does this boat need , big hp or big tq . Thanks

with a true 650, torque is important too. the conventional Vees need TQ.

I would start with a labbed 28 B-1. also try a Hydro 27p QIV the B-1 is a bow lifting prop. The Hydro is a transom lifting. You may run more level with the QIV. At 5500 rpms, you should be somewhere round 80-82.

keep us posted

I just checked my identification number on my engine. It is 14098859. I then tried to find out on the internet what size engine, and came across a site, scrolled down to find mine. All I could fine was 14096859. That says it's a V8 502 Gen V HO. I went back and rechecked my numbers, and I was right(14098859). I can't ssem to find my number anywhere. I'm assuming since I'm only one number off, My engine is a 502 as well. Can anyone find my number/engine size, or tell where to find out? Thanks!

I've been wondering what ever happened to the other Bill Dahl Pantera. It's a cool looking boat. Hopefully you can get it straighted out after that butcher(just waht I've heard...) rigged it.
