Question 28 single x-question

Hey guys, I am trying to find out what my x dimension is on my 28 single, and also what it needs to be. It has a stern powr drive so referance points on the drive will not help much. What is the best way ( or the standard ) to measure
this ? I do know that this drive has a 21.8" shaft to shaft dimension. How far does the prop shaft need to be below the bottom of the v on the hull ? The boat does not have a notched transom. Thanks in advance for the help, Scott

I'm agree with Bruce on the #'s he posted. I have a nothched transom and am in the 4.25-4.5" area with slip #'s in the same range. I was 1" higher before and couldn't carry the bow enough and slip was higher.
