And not to be a blastphemer, but there are a couple of decent looking Saber 28s for sale right now (in the classifieds and in the Saber section), but the other option is to take your time and find THE boat. I was looking for nearly a year before I found Griff's boat. The 24 was an interim deal.

If you buy the boat at Shogren, I'd be happy to trade motors with you!

Tex I agree pass and wait. Trust us on this. Unless thay let it go for say 35k don't do it. Remember it's a buyers market right now and there are better deals to be had. Use this as perpective I bought my 1989 28' Pantera for 17k, threw in another 12k into it with new interior in cabin and cockpit , rewired all of it, new graphics, and new rigging. Motors were SBC with Alpha SS drives and were ok just did tune-ups and had drives serviced. Bottom line I when I sold it I gave it away at $40k and it sold quick. My point is it doesn't matter what year it is as long as hull is solid and your getting a good deal you won't go upside down. Here are some pics.

I didn't take it that way at all. I just wanted to let you know that a single with 500-600hp can be very reliable and turn key without a lot of engine worries. Not to mention, I couldn't imagine having to do even small things on twins. I could change spark plugs in 20 mins.

For twins, the 28 engine room is not bad at all. That's compared to a Baja 29 (310's) and a 29 Formula (6.2's) that I've had to wrench on. The twin small blocks in that Formula is a TIGHT fit!

Good talking with you earlier Andy (TexomaPowerboater). Good luck tomorrow.

Yea.. the bolster was funny, but when she was finished she came out beautiful.
I saw that ad at 80k kinda of optimistic to say the least.

Angel, Jo told me that your small block boat was beautiful, but I hadn't seen it before. Man that thing is a knock out! Probably my favorite graphic that I've seen to date!

Good luck with Nick's old Scorpion!
