I believe that with any sport or hobbies you become obsessed with, you can cross an invisible line and loose your innocence.
Now the object of your desire no longer has the same thrill and you can go back to the way it was. I've had this happen with several things-weight lifting, street cars, and now I see it happening with boats.

Dude, a couple yrs back and you'd a been right.
I think that's "takes one to know one"

You guys know it's true.
Lift weights and totally get into it, next thing you know your entering contests. Going to the gym is not the same.
Put a bump stick in your street car, next thing you know your at the strip. Now it's a boat. I want to race as well but i'm not going there.( I hope)

Funny, I finally started going to the gym again recently... man do I love picking up heavy stuff!
