My boat budget just took a huge hit and I'm pissed. So that one in MD and the 24 SE's are starting to look pretty good. The 24 SE with twin outboards looks brand new. I don't care for a blower engine unless its a Merc setup. It also looks like there is a lot less cockpit space in the race setup. As for the cabin - yah you don't spend much time down there, but in the TX heat - its nice to be able to get out of the sun for just a little while. I would also like to travel and overnight and maybe a little "rockin the boat" if you know what I mean.

All of the ones that I have seen with a half cabin had more than enough room for two adults beamwise. Those over 6' might not see the the same way.

My boat has more room that way than my 24SE had with the pleasure cabin.

I know where there's still a nice 24 Super for sale! Just a 3 hour trip away from you

The prices don't seem way too high. I know they don't have typical pleasure setups, but really how much time do people spend below decks? Both of them have a cabin of some sort and seats can be modified for a few thousand dollars. Well now that I look at that one in RI, it's a little more than I remembered...

What's keeping people from buying them? What is it, the blower motors?

And that one in IL (http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/6/3/88945463.htm). I wonder if they would sell it without the motor? That boat is less than 1/2 what a new one is...
Well D, I gotta tell ya. Its not the boat or the motors. For sure not the motors. I'm looking for a specific look. So far I have only found it one time. Havnt found one like it yet. So the search is on. The boat is going to double up as a business card. So I basicaly need a naked boat.

Thank you every one for keeping an eye out there but I will be out of the market for a boat for a while, my budget has taken a hit, I will be going back to school this fall so I will have to use the money for a boat to pay for school. But when I am done ( about 2 yrs) I will be able to step up to a 28 so I guess it will work out for the best. I hope everyone is enjoying the boating season....best whishes----Brad
