:ernaehrung004: Looks awesome.... serious pulley's ... can't wait Norm. Should be an interesting Summer.

I should know when I am going up to get the Donzi shortly, I will shoot you an email to check your schedule if we can get together?

Undertaker is running his Donzi up to Havers today to have Steering put on.

Your Pantera is gonna rock buddy... gonna have to get you some Custom Atlantic Coast Gear soon.

Doc of Prolonged Pantera Purchases :drink:

Elite Marine 03-28-2009 03:23 PM

You Donzi guys be careful. Norman seems like a really grounded guy, but running around in the new beast of his might make him a changed man. I dont want to infer he will think hes better than anyone, but it is a Pantera after all!!!

LOL just kidding, but that is funny!!:rolleyes:

:drink: I am counting on him changing...he is gonna have to walk me through this whole Pantera process in the not to distant future.

I think your boat is in good hands... Norm is a great guy and a good friend. :ernaehrung004:

Green Eyes 03-31-2009 08:18 PM

Doc,
Give me a yell and let me know when you're coming up. We need to catch up. Where are you with your deal? What's the insolvent Minx all about?
Norm

:cool-smiley-011:Norm - It's "Insolent Minx" - from the movie the Jackel, when Bruce Willis came back to the US from Canada in the movie he sailed into US waters and renamed his Sailboat, Insolent Minx Insolent - meaning to be boldly disrespectful in speech or behavior, arrogantly contemptuous. Minx - meaning Saucy Girl or Young Woman. This all being according to Websters Dictionary... Liz always loved that name and decided she wants to call the Pantera this because its a Cat and it would fit this definition to a T.

How's that for a concise definition?

The boat is getting its survey items taken care of currently and should be ready for a Sea Trial in Mid to late April.

I am planning on doing the May 2nd Mohapac Marine Fun Run in the Donzi as a shake down run prior to Lake Cumberland. Up on the Hudson...maybe your boat will be ready by then and you could join us....Matty is planning on doing it in Kenny's 20' Cig.

I'll shoot you an email.

Doc of Verbal Disregard

bigboat28 04-01-2009 12:50 PM

Dr. Dan what boat you buying, pics.

TeamSaris 04-01-2009 02:44 PM

First pull was 642 hp
With more dial in/fuel map time she should really be screaming :ernaehrung004:

Green Eyes 04-01-2009 05:12 PM

Thanks for the update. Jason called me this afternoon with the news. That's right where he said we'd be. See you guys on Friday afternoon.
Norm

TeamSaris 04-01-2009 05:32 PM

Sounds good Norm

Elite Marine 04-01-2009 07:16 PM

Can you guys make it run on 87 or 89? The drive doesnt need to see much more than 600 - 650 HP!!!

Nice build guys!! Norman has to be excited.

TeamSaris 04-01-2009 07:37 PM

Dont quote me and Norm, ask my dad before you run out and fill her up with 89, but I think it can now.

Not to Hi Jack Norms thread but to answer your question.

:cool-smiley-011: I can't say it's a secret, I just don't want to disclose anything until it's a done deal... the current owner is a stand up guy and the boat is a great representation of what can be done by Pantera.
I plan on being a loyal owner and I expect to upgrade to a 36 in the not too distant future. One boat at a time... and first things first. So let's let things play out and I promise I will disclose all later this month after the Sea Trial.:sport009:

:ernaehrung004:Norm congrats on the Dyno...I am sure its gonna be a great ride... I am already thinking of some runs we both can do together... right now I am thinking of doing 1000 Islands and maybe Lake Winnie in the Pantera.

Also Rock the Bay in September on the Chesapeake Bay.

Should be a full Summer, looking forward to becoming a member of the Pantera Family.

Pantera owners stand up guys??

Dude! Sweet! 04-04-2009 10:23 AM

Congrats on the great dyno results! (See not a total hijack :D )

Doc, just busting chops. Can't wait to see which boat you're picking up. Good luck with the purchase!

If I stand up, I get dizzy and fall back down. So what's the point? Then again I also sleep with one foot on the floor to keep the bed from spinning! :D

Elite Marine 04-07-2009 06:03 PM

Updates?????

TeamSaris 04-08-2009 06:41 PM

Final touches on the dyno are coming to a close..will be in the boat next week as far as i Know

Green Eyes 04-09-2009 07:25 PM

Motor comes off the Dyno after final tuning tomorrow or Monday. The the install begins in earnest next week. XR outdrive, headers, hydraulic steering rams all received at Performance marine and ready to go. I'll take some pictures and post them next Wednesday after I visit.

Elite Marine 04-09-2009 08:26 PM

What brand headers are you using? Steering?

littledcsrodshop 04-09-2009 08:27 PM

I have to look about the headers...Steering is IMCO Full Hydraulic

Elite Marine 04-10-2009 08:21 AM

Nice. You guys should have given me a shot at pricing this stuff for you...I promised Norman he would get parts at my cost. Seeing as I am one of only three CMI distributors in the world for CMI, it would have been an extremely good price.

I'm not looking to make any money on any of this, just help Norman get the boat together at a very reasonable cost.

TeamSaris 04-10-2009 07:11 PM

We gave him a hell of a deal..dont worry about it.;

Elite Marine 04-20-2009 07:12 PM

Norman -

Box Anchor should be there in a day or two!! :evilb:

Green Eyes 04-22-2009 03:41 PM
