Based on http://www.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/n.../distances.pdf and the time, I figure an average speed of roughly 23mph. That's a journey.

Here is the 1978 Pantera 24' record run boat. It took them 6 hours to go across Delaware Bay in "Real" 10-12 foot seas.

That was a 1979 Pantera 28' powered by triple 2.4 Mercs.. It raced here in the U.S. in 1979 and became APBA East Coast Modified Champ then went overseas to Italy and Won the Class 2 Italian Championship by my Father.This is what it looked like back then.

A radio direction finder (RDF) is a device for finding the direction to a low frequency radio source. Due to low frequency propagation characteristic to travel very long distances and "over the horizon", it makes a particularly good navigation system for ships, small boats, and aircraft that might be some distance from their destination.
