damn guys. Just trying to sell a boat didn't expect all this. Is quite entertaining though. If it makes it more interesting I could raise or lower my asking price. Thanks again for you guys taking a look in all seriousness. Boat is in great shape. Just don't have time for it and would like to see it with someone who would enjoy it. Thanks

mgh, there is nothing wrong with waiting for the "right deal" and if you wait long enough you may find it. But, just because a boat isn't the great deal you have been looking for doesn't mean it's overpriced. It seem like all the people that are waiting for that deal of the century are the first to point out that someone is asking too much. In this case you implied it and then backed it up by your posts. The market is driven by buyers and sellers and a boat is worth what someone is willing to pay. Yes, the economy still sucks and there are deals out there, but how much work will they need after the sale? |

You seem to spend the majority of yours pouting and whining on boating sites. Thats why you'll never get a great deal on a NICE boat. And just asking.... why didnt you buy one of the 25k boats? holding out for them to drop to 10grand? blow up the 700hp motor you will need to make one of these run respectably fast and see what it costs to fix it. I spent 30 grand on mine in the last 3 years. Brand new transom assembly, props, completely rebuilt 675HP motor, carbs, completely rebuilt drive, bilge redone, etc. Unless you want to run a slow assed pantera you have to spend money. But what do I know........I want a skater but for now I will only run what I can afford to break. Your missing the point ! most anyone on OSO needs me to go check out a boat , or a motor thats local I will . So will other members . Its a nice free step before you hire a surveyor .
I've had people in NY that I've never met in person go check on a build for me and a boat I bought once . I bought an arch from NJ and another member dropped it off in NC for me for free . This is the kind of stuff I'm talking about . |
