Looking good! How think is the transom at the cut-out?
We were worried about the gimbal studs going all the way through due to the meat of this transom. But worked out fine. Not much threads to spare though. MD |
2.75"

With the transom 2.75" you've lost .5" of input shaft engagement engagement. =Don't aske me how I know...had this issue years ago with a TRS boat. stripped out the splines in short time... Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but check the engagement. I had extended spline shafts made. Kurt |

Attachment 471395 Attachment 471396 1.Cut the hole using this handy jig. Went conservative @ 17” X. Decided to keep it a bit lower, may sacrifice a couple mph, but dont want the prop blowing out in a hard corner racing etc..... 2. Once the holes cut, put some resin in to preserve the hole. 3. HP gimbal assy |

I thought it looked extra thick. Industry standard is 2.25" when you make it thicker, you lose input shaft engagement into the coupler.
