Heres some pics, the transom got filled to ditch the trs in favor of an xr. Filled some holes on the dash for a new layout. More pics with fresh paint next week.

WAY cool. I saw the utube vid of that boat. That's gonna be a blast to run Mike. Two of my sponsors are chiropractors, I suggest you look for the same. :-)

What does everyone think about the green rub rail ?
|
Ya please chime in.....I know how I feel.....
This is a computer doct pic |
Who did the pic? I need to do that for some ideas I have for my boat
|
I like the green rub rail a lot, but I suspect it will really show the wear after it's taken a little abuse. Personally I'd go with black so it hides the wear better.
Looking good Mike!!! |

Guess its time to get photoshop loaded in my laptop
|
I would do a std rubrail, alum or black and tape or paint green the uderside of the overhang and a 1.5" stripe on the hullside below that so it looks similar to the photo but it gives a little 3D effect to the green over the black.

I think Ironman has the ticket! Nice looking rendition. Did you buy that boat out of Montague, MI.? I saw it there a few years back. |

Sandblasted down to the factory gelcoat . White deck , red sides !
|
5 Attachment(s)
Boat was sanded down with a mud hog with 40 grit to cut down on time and remove high spots then skim coated with fiberglass filler .
|

And sanded , sanded and sanded some more !

Deck was primed with quick fill . Quick fill is a resin based primer that is great for building . It's as close to a spray on filler as you'll ever see . But sometimes you need to prime to see damage that was hidden so we cut back into some hairline cracks we found .

Hull was overall good , only had to fill pinholes exposed by sandblasting , skim a bad fill job where the boat had docking lights and a few stress cracks in the forward V from rock docking
|
3 Attachment(s)
Deck was primed and one of my custom 1/8 aluminum windscreens was fitted
|
5 Attachment(s)
Hull was primed ! The finish from the strake down was good and made for a good base without priming so thats why you still yellow .
|
4 Attachment(s)
Hull was blocked down and any imperfections were filled or sanded out
|
5 Attachment(s)
Final prime was done on hull . Was blocked , wet sanded , then painted with Base and clear .
|
5 Attachment(s)
Last of the filling was done on the deck and it was primed and blocked one last time before paint .
|
5 Attachment(s)
Deck was bassed then cleared

Mike it was great doing business with you and we all wish you the best with your Pantera in OPA class six . Hopefully we can get the Pantera's together for a little hell raising this summer .

Nice,
that filler work looks all too familiar, at least now I know mine isnt the only one to stresscrack in those corners. |
WOW:eekdrop:
You have done an amazing job on her. Will be great to see her out doing what she was bred for in a few months. |

I have a black dually to buy this fall & a y2k after my wedding!!! Thanks |
