Unfortunately that's a negative.
Motor will get dyno the following week so its not happening.
I'm a bit late as usual.
We may make the pilgrimage to tawas if my wallet allows, def a.c., maybe st Clair, no to port Huron.
Then well finish with the rest of the season on the east coast races.
Long beach, Solomon, etc, etc.....

Mike toss some stock power in there and pick up some OPA points! Great way to shake down the boat before big power goes in.

Boat is looking awesome by the way, great job on it.

sparky24 05-07-2013 05:09 PM

careful when you drill it carbon fiber tends to splinter, when we drill it at work we use a special drill bit that has flutes at a different angle

scarab63 05-07-2013 05:15 PM

good look!!!

ok thanks!
I'll get a fresh bit & go ez. I was planning to cut the scoop vent with my dremel trio. It seems to do well on almost all materials. That'll have a grill insert to hide any cutting flaws, the pins will have the beauty rings, and the hinge holes will be concealed by the hinge itself.

Hahaha :lolhit: If I were in the UK, Yes.

But according to most americans I'm from Switzerland for some d*mn reason...

sparky24 05-08-2013 04:38 PM

they could probably make it out of fiberglass for a lot less im guessing

what are the dimensions maybe one of these would fit on my boat

You are correct ! The carbon fiber was 15X more expensive then fiberglass construction but it's so bad a$s . Me and FX10 are already planing on doing some carbon fiber on some boats next .
Because we did the paint and resto on the boat we were more then willing to make this hatch .
The tree man boat has a little bigger hatch then most 24/7's . But we could block off part of the mold and produce smaller hatches .
We've already blocked off the sides and popped out the scoop section for some other customers ..

JAIME 05-11-2013 11:45 AM

boat is lookin good with that hatch. Whats the length of it, looks kinda short for 3man. I thought they were all the same on 3pack about 5'-0"

OCCJoe 05-11-2013 12:09 PM

I believe its 49" front to back . I only measured it fifty times I should have it etched in my head .

waterboy1 08-08-2013 03:43 PM

Right now the weeds are racing to grow around it. Theres some pretty tall ones !!!!!
honestly got burnt out on this project mentally and financially. Was neglecting things that make me $ to spend money on this turd and that doesn't help balance a budget too well.

Itll get done when I get the urge. Itll get some racing. Itll be one bad ***** too :)
