IRONMAN 11-27-2012 08:16 PM

I would not mount the exhaust tips now, I know it is really tempting but there is a good chance you will want/need to move them slightly after installing the longblock and exhaust tails Just my opinion.... Are you going 20deg on the tabs or follow the bottom at 24deg?

Ive got these tips what do you all think? They too much? I know im gettin way inhead of myself, but i want to mount the transom assy and exhaust tips and trim tabs now. They are slanted but you cant really notice in this pic.

That's funny, small world. I'll stop by if I see you. Where do you go boating? I run out of the Parker river in newbury. I work at the marina right there so I launch with the fork truck. We'll have to meet up this summer. If mines done by then!

i have the lonseal coin pattern in my boat, i love it! it is not cheap but greatlakes skipper has/had it in grey for a great price. i bought mine from them and have no regrets. my boat was a bottom up project and we had to cut out the gel coated floors and put new wood in, i wasnt going with carpet and the lonseal was allot cheaper and easier than gel coating the texture into it.

the project looks great! i love seeing older boats come back to life :)

I know that yard. Where you there when it burnt? I mainly race the Phantom but I've spent lots of time in Gloucester in the past. Usually put in in Beverly but last year went once out of Newburyport.

krisx125 02-17-2013 08:07 PM

Nope wasn't there when it burnt. Ive been there for a little over 2 years. Fun place to work. You'll have to come to ipswich. We all party on sandy point. There'll be a few performance boats there this year

Well tried to paint the deck myself...Ran out of paint half way through.. Found out i am not a painter. Hired a guy whos been in the autobody industry for 30+ years. 300$ to paint my deck, engine hatch, and finish the body work on my dash and paint that aswell. Just picked up a full gallon of white imron and activator...Another 450$ Ew...

krisx125 04-01-2013 06:18 PM

Sp now the cost cutting is taking place....I was going to run Auto meter gauges, But for the set they're 600$ And I'd rather use that money elsewhere and do auto meters over the winter. A buddy of mine had a new set of faria Gauges for 50$ Hate to do it but im gonna run them. Just undecided whether or not to run the old bezels..Any opinions? Also mounted the dash and new throttle box.

OCCJoe 04-01-2013 07:36 PM

We actually like all the pic's so you can keep those coming . As for the gauges the faria look period correct so I wouldn't worry bout that either , However I'm not feeling that vent on the the dash . You might want to reconsider .

krisx125 04-01-2013 07:37 PM

Yes Bryan, I'm taking donations!!

I agree, I'm returning them tomorrow..I had plain old black plastic ones..that i really don't care for. They also make chrome plated ones. But not a fan either. I screwed myself and didn't cover the screw holes so I'm stuck using the larger vents. Like what were on it.

OCCJoe 04-01-2013 07:45 PM

NO ! I meant the vent wont look good on the dash ! LOL !
I've got the vents that came out of my Pantera , I painted them white to match and that would make a good base for you to repaint to your white. You can have them for $25 shipped for all four of them

krisx125 04-01-2013 07:52 PM

Hmm, can you post a pic what you get a chance?
