Room enough to put under rear seat. Sacrifices some storage, but cleans up bilge. Plus if u use a electric hatch you can easily access the batteries if they run down.

I put my battery in front of the motor. I built a shelf that sits maybe 4" up from the V that I glassed to the bottom and the bulkhead. I then fastened the battery box to the shelf and the bulkhead.
Doesn't take up any space, it's centered and down low. |
Going the cheap route...Gotta router the edges, glass and gel coat.

Newbanana, I like what you did. But i dont have the room under my rear seat. So they'd be too close to the front of my engine.

I know the motor sits on the stringers....But the outside of the battery wont be sitting on anything...What happens when they bounce?

Mine had nothing but fresh air under them they where bolted to the stringer with 4 bolts and penny washers but too high up the stringer for the tray to sit on anything . Redone the trays and the outside of the trays now sits on rubber pads .
|
They also sell some stringer monted boxes a bit pricey but hassle free i guess.. id go your route better.
