If you ever take on water its not great to have your battery sitting too low, the stock type mounts are probably fine but i wouldnt put it at the bottom of the bilge

I screwed a block of wood to the stringers and resin coated it. Set the plywood down in cavasil and screwed it to the block of wood. Then did a coat of glass. Presto Battery supports lol

Just put mine in today, some foam wrapped up and good to go. I picked up the foam pieces at a local shop that they were getting rid of pieces and were just big enough |
Nice work! Looks good. I wanted mine up where yours are, But i decided that i rather have some more weight forward. And took the easy route out lol

I was debating on putting them where you have them for that same reason but I said screw it, thought they would be in the way up there for or I was just used to have them in the back already

I put my battery in front of the motor. I built a shelf that sits maybe 4" up from the V that I glassed to the bottom and the bulkhead. I then fastened the battery box to the shelf and the bulkhead.
Doesn't take up any space, it's centered and down low. http://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/...ps34096a5f.jpg http://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0a640209.jpg |
