My Dad's 1978 24' Excalibur had a 400/454 TRS with the prop shaft set about 7" below the bottom.
My 1989 24' Pantera 330/454 Bravo had the prop shaft about 5" below; same with my 1997 24' Superboat. My 22' Donzi has the prop about 7" below but it's a round bottom at the transom not a straight V all the way back like the Pantera and Super. Personally I believe having the prop 5" below is a good place and will work with both 3 and 4 blade props. |
