You could probably guess what the one piece to the puzzle was that kept me from dropping it in the water today.... Yep a drain plug.
:poopoo:

Got some time to do some little things today. I needed hardware to properly mount the oil filter bracket, I was missing a couple fasteners for the trim pump electrics, got that done. Finished wiring the trans. and oil temp gauges. Changed the drive oil but I misplaced my dipstick so I put a plug in it for now. Cleaned the prop and the hub thingie and installed that. Glued in one of my bilge thru hulls (still need to cut a hole for the second one). And wired the electric choke. I still have air in the hydraulic steering system but I didn't run it today so I will work on that later. I'll try to find the missing drain plug tomorrow and get to the boat ramp to check everything for leaks.

Nice day for a test ! Were you able to run it , or just checking for leaks ? We were flying ( parasailing ) a good number of people till the sea fog rolled in ( bummer ) .

Just checking for leaks at the moment. The plan for tomorrow is... check to make sure the alt is charging, round up the necessary hardware to install the rest of the interior, figure out what I'm doing for a flame arrestor (fitting under the hatch) and take the boat to Ron Potter so he can check the timing. Hopefully by Wednesday I can tie up a few loose ends and take a ride around the bay, then I want to wax and clean it up for a nice ride on the 1st. and maybe a day over the weekend.

Yeah well it rained all day, sucked, I tried to make the best of it but didn't get anything done during the day. First chance I got I fired it up and verified I had a functional charging system, check. I picked up a set of stainless grease fittings and installed them into the gimbal. I cleaned all the sticker glue residue off the rubrail. I had to shorten the handle on the shutoff valve at the strainer (hitting the v-belt when operated) and installed. I also added the side vents, teak steps, and interior pieces.

The hardest part is finding the time to work on it when you know it's months from being done.
