It will spin higher but it's a 330 horse bottom end. 5k rpm is its limit.

I have an 82' pantera im getting ready to convert fron trs to bravo. What did you set your x dimension at or did you stay with the factory height? Im considering raising mine 2" ,but im not sure if that gonna create hood clearances issues or not. Thanks

At 18" I have 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch clearance at the top of my CMI headers to Engine Hatch

It was an alpha boat. The guy before me put in a bravo assembly. Its approx 16.5", arouns 6" below the pad. I believe the arrestor is 3" tall in my pic.

so somebody got Kris's boat and is treating it right. just found thuis build thread. I thought about that boat. shoulda thought harder. my 79 SE is really nice for original, but it is still orig. I am building essentially same motor but has forged small dome mag pistons and rods. TRS Merctrans. never seen with drive on, but I am gonna measure drive and hull to get guesstimate how far in the water stock TRS propshaft was-is. I know the bravo is 1.7 inches shorter, so same x-dim will give nearly 2 inch higher prop.

Thank you. It turned out just how I imagined it would.

A buddy and I had a chance to run in some chop Saturday. It was two plus feet and against the tide and the wind at our back. I cannot even describe how it handled, I am used to getting bounced around on a typical 20 degree boat. It was a blast!

It is the smallest true offshore hull. Everything else in this size belongs in the back bays. Where are you running it? I am getting my knees replaced on friday. I have a 3 month vacation coming. I am getting a motor in this beastie this late summer-early fall. Would be interesting to get a few pics of an early Sport and an SE in the same color.
