As the Fullthrottle turns another week for a boat Quote completed still not delivered

Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Hi, Ron
See if you can get a Serial Number off that motor Pantera is putting in your boat. It might be a used motor. Run the Serial through Mercruiser and they will give you the background information on it! Just another 2 cents worth. Regard Dave Wilkinson |
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
FT525 I really feel for you. It is really none of my business, but when you get your boat, I would really like to know why your boat has taken so long versus others. Were there other boats that began construction after yours completed before yours ? That would really upset me......and I am sure it does you as well.
I wish you the best :) |
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Does any one know the most post or the longest thread I would think we have a record??
|
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
No the original Apache threads were huge. Some of it was lost in server transfers but they were huge. The first one was over 3400 posts and the second was around 660 so you got a ways to go. Take another 10 years to get the boat and then you will be closing in.
|
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Apache had some serious trouble at one time didnt they? I heard of motors lost or in the wrong boats ? Well Ithink this will comfort Ron to know theirs worse that could happen.

Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Man, I can't believe this thread - obviously there is significantly more to the story than has been posted thus far. I can't imagine the kind of excuses FT must be hearing.
Like someone mentioned above, this thread has convinced me to pass on ever building a new Pantera; we might look at a used one, but no way would I feel comfortable putting big $$$ on the table for a boat I might never see.... :( |

I've been following this saga for a long time. I've just stayed out of it. I think it would be in Ron's best interest if everyone else stayed out of it too. I'm sure he knows what he's up against, and making the best decision for himself. I don't recall him asking for anyone's sympathy. I think he has shown remarkable restraint, which may or not have been the best route, but that's water under the bridge and he is doing what HE thinks best. I can tell you the last thing they want to do is force a company into bankruptcy, which it sounds like a bunch of the pack want to do. I'm sure he knows what is at stake more than anyone else. Good luck Ron. |

Good luck Ron. BANKRUPTCY  Who said anything about that. The guy paid for his boat in full and others, who ordered their boats after him, are getting their boats before him. Is Pantera really on the edge  |
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
FullThrottle525
I heard that the Nunez family has told you that you are getting a new motor in a couple of weeks. Everyone knows that it doesn't take a couple of weeks to exchange one brand new 525 with warranty for another. Their stalling. I have relatives in Florida that can check this out on your behalf. Half of the Dayton Police force is retired down there. I really feel bad for you! If there is anything I can do for you let me know. Maybe go to the local news media and ask them if they are interested in your story as well as the story of others who have been taken in by Pantera Power Boats Inc. Regards Dave Wilkinson |

Is Pantera really on the edge  I don't know anything about Pantera's financial health, but I know it's easy to get in a cash crunch with a small business. I'm not saying that's what it is. What I do know is twice companies that owed me money went bankrupt. Once I got exactly zero of what I was owed from the companies either time. |
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Boss272(Dave):
I have no knowledge on whether I'm getting a new motor or not, just that they were having some trouble with mine. They have told me that they will do whatever they have to to make my boat 100% and that my boat will be delivered this week. In any event, if I don't receive my boat this coming week I will take your offer and that of many others. I really appreciate your assistance and concern. I have come such a long way now that I am not going to turn my back on them. I am sincerely hoping that they have been telling me the truth. If they are not, I will not wait for ever. Maybe I'm naive, but I'm sure they realize how important it is to their future to have my boat finished and me boating before the end of next week. Thanks again, Ron __________________ 'There really is only one speed..... FULL THROTTLE!!! ' |

Most people think this is so simple; that you would lay down $100,000.00 dollars and get a finished product in return is simply unreasonable thinking! Oh no, it’s much more complicated than that. From what I gather, one must do the following things to buy a boat. 1. Lay down obscene amounts of money, just to grease the wheels. 2. Make several calls day & night to assure they are doing their jobs. 3. Fly to the builder several times to assure they are doing their jobs. 4. Make structured, financial payments; an ongoing permanent basis works best. 5. Hire outside people to make sure the builder does his job. 6. Spend obsessive amounts of time & money talking to others with the same issues & problems. 7. Take more vacation time and fly to the builder, to make sure he is doing his job. 8. Talk with an attorney as he will help direct you in a business like way. 9. Beg, beg, & beg. This isn’t business like but it does help some. 10. Rehire the same attorney for a divorce as your wife will have your a** for spending what she unreasonably deems as our money. Upside: there is no need to hire anyone to make sure the attorney does his job. BH |

All it takes is a truck with a trailor hitch 2 5/16 ball problem contained /hire a hit man problem finished

Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
The Missing boat where did it go?? Is it at Rons house?? Or locked in the back room with no motor ??

It ain't at my house!! |
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
I know I'm just a trouble maker, but can I ask one more dumb question? If the motor in FT525's boat was running poorly, then the Pantera race boat was experiencing the same symptoms, could FT525's boat have infected the race boat? Maybe that is why it is now in quarantine where no other boats or people can get near it until the sickness in the motor is healed.....
Ok Ron - Did they take your motor out and put it in their boat so they could race? |
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
That would be such a nasty thing to say ,,They took a wet motor put it in Rons boat then took it out then used it in the race boat again. I would never say that.

Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Hey Guys:
On a more upbeat note.....I talked to the factory yesterday and my boat will be completed and ready to be picked up Tuesday or Wednesday sure. I'm hoping to pick up my SUV Saturday and may be headed south either Sunday or Monday. FYI..I have no information relative to all your engine comments, however, I will be picking up my boat and may even get a few driving tips from the Big Guy. Will let everyone know how she runs & handles. :D :D I'll be smiling soon and dancing in the street!! |
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Ron,
I truly hope this is it for you! Have a safe trip there & back & let us know what it's like to be at the helm of a Pantera 28 w/ a 525! Hind sight says maybe I should have kept my boat a little more simple! Best of Luck Michael |
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Ron you will be amazed how in control you will be in that 28,
hope you have alot fun in the sun showing off your new ride. Have a safe trip, you will be driving back with a big smile in your face. You will scream with joy the minute you head north knowing you have the baddest made 28 in the planet. Albert |
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
The first thing I would do is have the motor scanned and find out how many hours are on it ??
|
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Thanks everyone...it sure has been a long road. I can't wait and I'm surely hoping this is the beginning of some great boating experiences.

Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Okay, Okay...I did say that last year, however, this year I spent more dough on the boat and got me something to tow it around. Nothing fancy...Lincoln Aviator...pulls 7200lbs..300HP..302 lbs torque..not the best tow vehicle, but it will be my everyday vehicle so didn't want to go too trucky. Should do just fine.
Ron |
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Since you posted this on a Saturday I have to assume you do not have a boat yet. What is the latest on delivery ?
|
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
Ron spends another weekend with no boat . Those tape recorded motor noises are still available to anyone that needs them. No its not a classified add !!
|
Re: Hey Full Throttle 525
