Jmemoli,
you are right about that exhaust, I put a set of IMCO stainless steel 4" risers on top of the exhaust manifolds and just that made a huge difference. With the motor and boat how it is now I am getting 68 mph with 4 people and 50 gallons of gas in fresh water and about 72-73 mph in salt water with the same weight load.

My boat is finally ready. Going out for a run tonite to dial it in.
Got a labbed 26 B1 that should do the trick.
How I'm still sitting at my desk, I'll never know.

How did it run Storm? Did you get to compare the B1 with a stock mirage 23 or 25? I will be gettin mine wet next week but I am going the other way, from the labbed B1 to a stock M+. Good luck Chris

Ironman, it ran like crap.
I'd like to try a 24 and 26B1, but for now i think i'll throw back on my 23" Mirage+. That is what i ran last year and it will give me a good comparison.
With this so called "labbed" prop, it ran 71.5 at 5100.
What was funny is that we were running w/ a 21 superboat w/ merc 300.
He claimed he was running 6000rpm which = 80mph, from his gps last yr.
We were not close to 80.

From the looks of your dyno sheet in the other forum I think your setup will like the 23 or 24" better. I have found it easier to make any fine carb or timing adjustments with lower pitched props then load it down after engine adjustments are made. Good Luck, Chris
