Jay has already been talking to me about our next run and that will work fine.

Bob, whatever day you get Predator back we will cruise with you somewhere for lunch.

Good to hear from you Brian. At this point we are not going to rush into forming a club or structured organization. The thinking for now is to just do a run once a month over the next while and let the guys all get to know each other a bit and then see where it goes from there. With a club there will be insurance and liability issues to address and at this point we want to walk before we run. Hopefully you can join us on one of the fun runs in the future. There is talk of another fun run in early March.

Sounds good Dennis. It may not be till mid Feb tho as I have to go north on Feb 7th for a week. Then hopefully hang around SWFL and get some serious boating in. Bob

I would love to go in march. Im still in favor of forming a organazation or club . How does the OPBA do it in Tampa they have no big money? I could probaly answer that with a phone call. I have a vision of a org that is a place where everyone could fit in not necesarly a drinking ocasion not that im against it but a good program . That doesnt totaly sound right?

It figures
I've been here for 4 years and nothing happens, now I sell my house and all of a sudden people come out of the woodwork.
Ixnay on the Bridge rest....couldnt handle 10 boats on a weekend. Be way too crowded.
I'll be here off and on til April, so keep me informed about any crusing going on. Aggravation28 (Skip) is in the Cape too. (Blue/white 30' Velocity)
Hi Brian....I'll give you a call.

Hi Dan,

That's why we figure it is now safe to come out to play !!! LOL
Maybe you should consider getting a Bayliner and it can serve dual purpose - stay on it and then join us for a run !!
On a more serious note - are you leaving the area ?
In the meantime be sure to follow this thread for info on various runs. Make sure you let Skip and others know and good things will continue to happen here. Join us when you can.

Looks like it will be the Green Flash. Tween Waters couldn't handle our numbers right now. They advise to arrive early if we want to be seated in the same area.

Photo reminder-- this thread will be useless without pictures, so bring your cameras to the run!

A thread here is a great way to communicate with a group for now as it's obvious this idea was just waiting for a green light (Bob's New Years thread). A forum is the next logical step when we need it, and then activate a web page. (ftmyersoffshore.org w/ .com and .net as redirects?) Any type of organizing takes time on someone's part, so I see a low maintenance web site as a calender of events, contact numbers and a photo forum where members could post photos...

Green Flash can work Jay. With the early start should be no problem to be there before noon. Just the dockage issue. Maybe some can drop a hook and make a small raft and get shuttled in worst case.

Will definately bring the camera this time. I am upgrading to one recomended by Hydrocruiser on OSO. Really knows his stuff!!

You have some great ideas Jay to make this a premier site on OSO. Love the logo and the direction we are heading. Thank you.
