There is no click to find out about the Run or to join in. By reading the paper, websites, Lake Norman Magazine, etc. each person would find out everything needed about the run. As for the information, Dave and I have put our phone numbers on the sites to call us for information. We appreciate all the support of our friends and businesses who donated their time and money. Everyone was invited to join in the fun and the "after the run party". Also, to participate in the run, each captain had to attend the captains meeting in the morning and was given the poker run rules. This is why we were very specific about numbers on the boats etc. We wanted to make sure everyone out there knew who was with the event and those who were not.

I was wondering who was out there in the Outerlimits. Thats a pretty nice looking ride. Lotsa of egos running around, I thought a poker run was supposed to be a social event not a click event.

steve1k99: Not sure what you mean by the comment. This event was a Power boat social event and by no means a click.
I would expect that from a non-perfromance boater but not from a guy that has a 99 Top Gun. This event was set up to bring performance boaters together. No egos involved just some nice hardware. If you could clarify that so I could understand I would appriceate that.

Thanks

Perhaps I was a bit harsh with useing the word "click". I assumed that info would be posted on oso I really did not know about Boatfreaks. There was plenty of info on there though. I guess with just finding out about it through word of mouth & with the way it felt like I was intruding on fri. night I took it that it was a private event & not open to all hotrod boats. If I don't feel like I'm welcome I get a little bit of an aditude. My bad. There were a lot of nice rides the cig is cool dude. Nice run lake is a little narrow to run with the sticks pinned. Wish I would found out earlier.

I can understand that. We thought about posting on OSO . Honestly I was afraid we could not handle the volume. So we decided to just go with our local web sites. We have a fun run coming up on Lake Wylie Aug 11th. We are also tring to but something together on Thursday nights at Exit 36 Billards. Give me a call 704-634-9004

Thanks

David

I probably can't do thursday nights. That's usaully when I fly out to the races. I might be able to skip Watkins Glen but I'm not sure about L.Wylie. I've never run there & don't really want to go cold turkey & try & run like we did on sat.

We had pace boats on Sat for the people that were not familier with the lake and we will have something like that when we do anything on Lake wylie. The lake is not as big as norman but we still manage to have a good time. See you on the water.
