Any hotel info? Where is everyone staying?
|
Re: The Chicago Poker Run
Base camp for the event will be at Harrah's Casino and Hotel
It is a pretty awesome hotel, you can check out their website. http://www.harrahs.com/our_casinos/ech/index.html |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run
What makes this location perfect , is the hotel is in the marina area, so you can walk from your boat to the hotel and all the parties :drink: It will be first class

Re: The Chicago Poker Run
Thanks, trying to make plans to attend. Do I have to be a member of COPS? What do we need to do to join?
|
Re: The Chicago Poker Run
I am pretty sure that you do not need to be a member to attend. If you do want to join it is only $50.00 and it comes with several shirts and a hat, so it is almost like you get your money back :D
The membership application is on the COPS web site, just click on the link in the first post. It is a pretty long application, I found when signing up I was able to click past a lot of the questions at the end. I hope you make it, I hear they already have a lot of boats signed up |

Re: The Chicago Poker Run
Downtown42,
I know with the new boat that money is tight, but will you be attending our Poker Run? One of the best deals out there. Grand Ballroom sit-down dinner/awards banquet. Restaurant sit-down lunch. Beautiful Chicago Skyline. You need to show-off that beautiful boat with Myco trailer. Good Choice with the trailer too. |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run
Money is really tight and with the new job I need some more deals in the bank before I can play. I truly am sorry, but will see you guys around NPoint this summer.
Is your OE getting painted? |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run
Paint is done. Cover blew off delivering to MO. All I have now is a full cover. Trying to get everything together. Trying to get it done for Oshkosh.
Dave, did you get a freebee poker run with the boat? |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run

Re: The Chicago Poker Run

Hope sales are good for you so you can make the run. If not there is always next year or some of the fun runs. Looking forward to seeing your boat. I'm jealous!!! :evilb: :D Dan |

Re: The Chicago Poker Run
Dude I am SOOO in for this one! Can't wait to do my first "official" Poker Run...and get some camera time with the new boat! I quote "official" cause I'm not sure the one on the Calumet counts! Just waiting on insurance for the Fountain, then I'll be signing up. This is gonna be a blast.
I think Michelle and I are just going to stay at Hammond...finish the run, throw the boat on the hoist and drive over....how far is it on land, timewise, between Hammond and Pastrick? |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run
Mike,
It's a 10 to 12 min. car ride from Hammond. I'm running back to Hammond to put the boat on the lift before the party. We have a room at Resorts for Friday and Saturday. I know after the party I won't feel like driving. :drink: Last year a group of boaters stayed around Sunday and ran over to Michigan City. We could do Matey's or the Yacht Club for lunch. What does everyone think? Dan |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run
sounds like a great plan dan.............m.m..........
|
Re: The Chicago Poker Run
You know I'll be up for a lunch run Sunday. Who knows maybe they will even be open this time. :drink:

Re: The Chicago Poker Run
Does anyone have room for 1 experienced boater passenger?
My Father is in Geneva, IL, and does not have enough time to make it to VA/DC very often to ride on my boat. He is 65, but still runs with the big dogs. I would love to be able to find him a seat/bolster to make the Chicago Run, or even just a couple stops on his home turf. (He can have his Wife pick him up somewhere.) Gas, beer. food, etc. etc., covered without question. Thank you all very much. |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run
Brian we would be happy to have him join us on the BT, his wife is welcome as well. It will be a nice event with first class food and accomadations, even if she does not want to ride she can probably buy a meal ticket and that might make it more enjoyable for him I know what it is like my Dad is in NY and I wish he had more time to spend boating with us.
