If You Cant Beat Them, Protest!

I was also hoping for a blade to break at one point too and maybe then the inspectors could have seen what they were really made of...

About that prop : the lab test only showed that the prop was complete in line with the rules. Meaning : not a welded prop !
So no problem about that !

It seems to me (in racing in general as well as this incident) that the organisers seem to take the easy way out initially by not enforcing their rules.
The organisers must have known the situation regarding sensors / dyno'd engines. It should never have come down to a case of a protest having to go in and thus causing so much bad feeling between competitors.
Just seen this in a number on incidents in Europe where the organisers have information - but won't act on it.

Although it would be a hell of a lot easier if I knew who I was talking to - I reckon I know 3 people on this thread and I have no idea who the others are ............ either connected and really knowledgeable or people just "saying what they feel".

I have been around the sport for some time now and always say what I feel....
Some may not like what I have to say, but I am sure they'll get over it...

I will never claim to be the most knowledgeable, but I will say this, I am connected......

By now, FWW must be wondering which one of their teamates could be my informant....

So Just to Clarify the situation.
Ilmor supply the engines to The FWW team. FWW have factory support at the races. FACT.
So are you, or are you not accusing Ilmor of cheating?
You have 2 options as to how to answer this:-
A=Yes
B= No

Whoever made the decision not to put the required dynoed engine in the boat with the required sensors connected to the telemetry system.
CLARIFY THIS:
Why within the 6 hours time after they arrived at the race site prior to Saturday's race or the 22 hours time frame they had between races on Sunday did they not install the engine which in turn made the boat not conform to the P1 Rules.
(If you race a boat that does not conform to the rules, what do you call it ?)
I just witnessed a team this weekend blow a motor prior to the race. They pullled his race boat up to his pleasure boat and swapped out engines in about 5 hours. That is undressing 2 engines, removing 2 engines and installing the pleasure boat's engine into the race and redressed it...
Then went on to win the race in his home town...

In FWW's case, 1 motor had to come out and the other off the truck, slide it in then dress it...
With all of the support that you say they have, I am still confused why they claim they had no time to install it prior to the races.
It probably took more time to ask the P1 to cater to them and the other teams in which for whatever their reason, they had no dynoed engines at all to even put in the boat ?
As I have stated before, I don't care what manufacturer it is.
You make the rules and conform to the rules. If not, take the penalties for not doing so...
I am sure P1 will do their best as they have been hard at it making this organization work.
This was just a speed bump for them and they probably wish they never let this slide by...
