George, call me and I'll let you know the details on the motors. Yes I'm keeping the fuel injection. We almost went with extruded aluminum intakes but could not find a second intake. Derebery had one on the shelf, but we couldn't find another. It appears Arizona Speed and Marine makes them in batches and couldn't even provide a delivery on one.

Steve I'll let you know on the props. The new computers will allow the motors to turn around 5500 RPM. That is 900 more than I was turning before. I do not think that I'll be able to turn the 27's 5500 RPM but we'll see.

George, my cell is 772-260-7273.

Default 1st Engine Dyno Results

The Team at Derebery had the first engine on the dyno this morning. Peak Torque is at 3600rpm and 577ft. lbs while the peak HP is at 5100rpm and 522HP.

Needless to say I am very, very happy with this. The Team at Derebery continues to impress, they made all their committment dates and best of all hit the numbers we were looking for.

I watched the second engine on the dyno this morning. 518 hp and 582lb-ft of torque. The first engine is already in the boat. Matt thinks they'll have it in the water before the end of the week. I'm going back next Saturday to take it out.

Hopefully we'll see new numbers then. Keep you all posted.

Guys, sorry it has taken so long to post an update. Matt & Leon at Derebery ran the boat Thursday. 80 mph at 5000-5100 RPM. We were going to play with the props this weekend but the weather has shut down our plans.

I'm running 27" labbed Mirage's, we're going to play with 26 & 28" Bravo I's.

It will be next weekend but I will let you all know how it turns out.

Mike...that's great news. I'm thinking 28-30 Bravos for that boat. I spin 26s with stock 502s. JROMY has 525s and spins 32s, aren't you in that neighborhood for horsepower?

BTW...I'm totally jealous

Give Brett a call at BBlades. He nailed the set-up on our 28'. We ended up with labfinished 28's

Mike, that is a good number for a 33. You will probably end up with a 28 labbed, or a custom 30bravo. Throttle-Up or BBlades are your best bets once you get a baseline. 78-82mph is the avg. speeds with 500's.
