I thought for some reason that PP's were non cored bottoms.

Powerplay BI 1993 National Champion , Brian there were a couple of these that were all up bagged and cored.

Steve, Why were some bottoms cored and others not? And what are the pros and cons for each?

The name of the game is stiffness and Coring gives the ability to build a very light but stiff structure. The science of core selection I will not touch upon.

But for a given design there is a "proper weight" (Tested in the gulfstream),What Danny did was build the boats at the optimum weight he got the stiffness needed without coring the entire structure (example 38 Bagged sides and deck). and he paid the price in materials we had the best vinlyester system around in those days Advanced textiles/Brunswick/Vectorply for fabric ,Cook/CCP Gelcoat,Corecell and ATC Bonding systems.

what is meant by "up bagging"? I have seen you use that term before.
