Would be nice for sure.

I always absolutly loved the 33 Center Console. I wanted one so bad. I did the factory tour and was shown the boat. Problem was there was no dealer network to work a trade on my 29 Fountain Fever. I ended up with a 36 (33) Concept and it was no where near the boat a Powerplay was. Live and learn.

Old time racing that boat had a wicked pair of small blocks built by a group that did Marine and stock car engines like Daytona,, tunnel rams ,headers and speedmasters then Danny pushed the boats hard enough to be National champ "S" Class.

twin screws 06-05-2010 07:55 AM

Steve, the last Power Play I saw was at the Laurerdale show I believe in 04 and it had the best fiberglass work of any boat there. Excuse my ignorance, but what happened to Power Play?

When Titos left Cigarette and went to PP , I tried to get you to buy a new 38. I also remember the new 38 in The Miami Show and that boat was huge.

Sir I am going to stay away from that, Now the glass was Danny, his Molds, Material selection and supervision were reflected in those boats and same for the outfitting on the inside.

Everything was the way the Boss wanted it , He told me a hundred times over the years, No boat ever went out that he would not personally own.

Steve 1 06-05-2010 10:52 AM

Twin Screws, Here is the transom drilling it is filled with chalk and ready for installation.

Steve, on the newer boats did Danny use marineply in the transom or other stuff ???

Danny used a 1 1/2" Marine plywood transom which extended down across the stepped transom and down the face to the deadrise, with 6 layers of Glass each side.
